I like the name Duncan for a boy

FI's father was named Duncan and passed away 5 years ago so it is kind of a tribute and I like the name.

I have thought of girl's names I like before but currently I cannot think of any of them.

I should write this stuff down somewhere!

FH has already named our first son, Griffin. I'm okay with it. He wants to name the 2nd son Maxamillion - Max for short. I have put my foot down on Max. No. It's a fine name, IMO, for a dog. (He has also said he wants to name our first dog Max. I have said "if we name a dog Max, we're not naming a kid Max. Plus, you named your cactus Max, and I'm not naming a kid after your cactus.")

Girls? No idea. Apparently he gets to name the boys and I have to name the girls. Uhh...... no, that's not how this works.

When my son was born, I was SOOOO sure he was going to be a girl (I didn't want to know the gender), so my ex and I had selected either Elizabeth Michelle or Michelle Elizabeth, but it wasn't until LITERALLY the night before my son was born (I was induced) that we settled on Austin Ray if we happened to have a boy.

I -wanted- Jonathan Phillip (Phillip is my father's first name), but the ex said no way.

I'm still hanging on to those names for our baby, with the addition of putting Juliette in the mix for a girl.

We're planning on starting either super close to the wedding (he didn't want me super pregnant for the wedding, or so I'd have to buy a new dress) or right after. I left the final decision up to when he's comfortable to try and start, since I was ready MONTHS ago.

I gave my furbabies my favourite girl names - Abigail and Faith! I keep wanting another cat who I want to name Emma (my third favourite girl name). If I'm not careful I think I'll use up my favourite names on furbabies before actual babies are born!

My names: Jack, Max - it's okay @lplions I forgive you ;-), Jake, Charlotte - Charlie for short, Clara

I have a harder time with girls names, boy names are easy! I know that if I have a daughter, her middle name will be Elaine after my grandma.

We both want babies. No time frame really decided...I want 3, maybe 4, and he wants 2. We'll see what happens.

For boy names I like Zander, Arlo, Dexter, Eli...and for girls I like Violet, Lola, Beatrix...

@hardlyhannah haha! it's not that I have anything against the name - at least - not really. The main character in one of my favorite books is named Max, after all. It's mainly that FH has named a PLANT Max... and wants to name a dog Max. *sigh*

My names are always changing! I have a cat named Max so I can't have that name. My sisters have been fighting over the name Jack for the past couple of years but they have all had girls so I do not want to even enter that contest. I do like the girl names Stella, Peighton, Sophie. Boy names Owen, Oliver Logan. We are not starting to try until August of next year.

FI and I are planning on buying a house soon after the wedding and we have always said that as soon as we buy a house we will start trying to have kids. I do always joke around with him though and say we are going to have a honeymoon baby. I want 2 but FI wants 1, I'm sure I will win that one! We have talked about names before and for a boy, I love Conner Matthew (Matthew is FI's name) and for a girl, we both agree on Skylar (not sure of a middle name yet).

No idea on names yet, and we probably won't discuss it until we have kids (in a few more years at this point). We have to finish remodeling our house, and he and I both have expensive taste in hobbies we want to indulge (car racing). Plus, I would like him to myself for a few years.

We're planning to start TTC about six months after we get married. We'd like to name a girl Arya Jayne (as we're huge nerds) and a boy Henry Brandon. We want three kids.

I think FI had his sons' names picked out before I met him. He would like to use Christopher (his middle name) and potentially Edward or Laurence (family names for both of us). I really like Bridget or Elizabeth for girls. We're Irish/Scottish ancestry, so our name selection is pretty old school.

We're open to having kids as soon as we get married. I'm 36, so there's an expiration date that isn't too far off. Plus, I don't want to be 70 when my kid graduates from high school.

I am obsessed with the name Kennedy for a girl. And our first son would be a jr. but we would camm him SJ for short. I really like a lot of the unisex names.

We have talked about names, nothing has really been decided except that our first boy will have the middle name Richard after both our fathers. I'd like 4, he says we have room for 2 so we will see. We were ready whenever but have decided that we want to hold off until after the wedding. Instead of using mother maiden names we'd like to use our grandmothers maiden names so we'll see. I'd love to have a little girl named Hillie!

Whoops, posted too soon. We want to start trying right away. We both like Aurora Elizabeth for a girl. Elizabeth is one of my grandmothers names and my middle name. And I like Dane and Declan for boys (twin boys run in my family) but my fiancee doesn't want Dane because that is my current last name.

I have known what our kids will be named since before I ever met FI. I told him the names and he loves them. We'll have Sonya Grace for a girl and Noah Matthew for a boy. Also love the name Aubry or Mason
