I got married this past saturday and everything went perfectly, I'm still on cloud nine!! All of my vendors were awesome and I recommend them to EVERYONE!
Venue- Centennial Lakes Park- Edina, MN A++++
Not only is it beautiful, but it really is the perfect place for a smaller wedding. We had the ceremony and reception in the park centrum building with everyone at their tables. Laura (Park Manager) was great and always got back to me quickly whenever I had questions. Our guests absolutely loved the place and the weather was great so they were able to hang out on the patio a lot during the reception. My old coworker even came up to me and said she's strongly considering the place for her future wedding!
Caterer- Divine Swine Catering- Lakeville, MN A++++
They were the most budget friendly and delicious option I was able to find and am so glad I did. Bruce was extremely helpful and friendly, also always got back to me quickly when I had questions. Our guests raved about the food and didn't have much for leftovers! Quite a few went up for 3rds, 4ths, and 5ths! Their servers even cut our desserts from another vendor and had them out on plates which was really great!

We originally booked her about 2 years ago and locked in the prices she had back then, so we got Britt at an amazing deal! My family and friends really liked her, I can't wait to see more pictures- we've gotten 2 sneak peeks so far and love them! 2 of my WP members that are getting married in September really want to book her now too. Our guests LOVED the photobooth, it was a last minute add on and so glad we did! Britt was the only photographer we met with, her prices even now are still great compared to others and like I said, cannot wait to see the rest of our pictures!!
Beverages- Complete Beverage Service- Minneapolis, MN A++++
They are the required beverage provider at Centennial Lakes Park (the only required vendor, you can bring in your own vendors otherwise). Their packages are extremely reasonable. Melissa always got back to me quickly. The bartenders that worked our wedding did a great job and got guests drinks quickly, they even gave H and I a bottle of champagne as a wedding gift!
Dessert- Cafe Latte- St Paul, MN A++++
Cafe Latte has been my favorite bakery since I was a kid! We got 3 of their famous desserts- Classic Vanilla Cheesecake w/Strawberries, Flourless Deep Chocolate Mint Cake and the Fresh Fruit Tart. I ordered them over the phone and the process was very easy, and they showed up even earlier than agreed on which turned out to be even better. Most of our guests grabbed one of each dessert (I did too!), and even though I ordered heavily we ended up with just one whole cheesecake!
Officiant- Affordable I Dos- Columbia Heights, MN A++++
I loved the fact that you could choose your officiant, and that if something were to come up then another could fill in. We picked Matthew Lane as our officiant and couldn't be happier. He ended up not being able to make our rehearsal, but Susan Lee-Wright filled in for it. Communication was great with them and they really know what they're doing. Our guests loved Matthew and he even danced down the aisle with our WP during the recessional!
DJ- Central MN DJ Company- St Cloud, MN A++++
Happens to be H's cousin's company, so this was a family affair :-) Cousin had a colleague work the wedding and did a great job. They provided our ceremony music and reception music. They did start with a few too many slow songs, but thankfully guests were requesting faster stuff so got the hint right away! Our dance floor was full all night, had an awesome crowd- even 2 of my aunts danced the whole night.
Tablecloths- Deckci Decor- Roseville, MN A++++
Centennial happens to have smaller tables than most venues, and Deckci was the only place I found that had the right size and didn't charge me a ton for wanting black tablecloths instead of white. Kristen was extremely prompt and helpful. When my parents were setting up, they ran short on table skirt and the clips weren't gripping right- my dad called Kristen and she helped right away!
Hotel Block- Residence Inn Minneapolis/Edina- Edina, MN A++++
Our guests absolutely loved the hotel! All the rooms were just remodeled and have granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Even the standard rooms blew me away! 2 of the ladies I met while moderating the May 2013 board came to my wedding too from out of state were amazed at how nice their standard room was. The staff were great there and I reserved a 2 bedroom suite for me and my BMs to get ready in and it worked out great!
Hair & Makeup- Julie Swenson Beauty- St Paul, MN A++++
I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for hair and makeup. Her prices were great, and I couldn't believe how amazing she made me and my BMs looked- and they were thrilled with the price tag too! Julie and Dawn were awesome, they even helped one of my BMs fix a spray tan snafu she had on her arms, and covered up a pimple my sister had on her chin. I cannot recommend Julie enough!!
