HELP! Stuck on May 2014 color scheme

I'm having a ~200 persian wedding in May '14 at a country club in northern california, but I've been flip flopping on the color scheme, which makes deciding on everything else so much more complicated! My style is modern, clean, and simple. I originally loved the Navy, Moss green, and Slate gray color scheme, but my MOB is much more traditional and prefers more lively colors for a Spring wedding. I sort of agree with her, but I just can't settle on anything because her style is TOO much color, and my style seems more fitted for a Fall or Winter wedding...

Anyone else have any suggestions or tidbits for this stressed out bride?

Im also getting married in May!

I love purple, eggplant, which is considered a "fall" color. Oh well! Its what I want and my BM's love it!!!! It just so happens to compliment the ballroom @ our venue!!!

What are the colors of your venue? Maybe you can start there and narrow it down! Pick one main color and use accent colors.

i think the BM in the left of the yellow/grey wedding should have vetoed her dress. it makes her boobs look super saggy.

I don't know if this is over done in your area, I am having a wine themed wedding, might be fitting for you. My colors are plum and moss green (colors that resemble grapes..obviously), my wedding date is July 2014. There are so many beautiful ideas for that theme of a wedding.
