B/c yeah, that.

There's a woman in her office who has lost her husband of 30 some odd years today, in less than a month.  I just feel so terrible for her.

I am also harboring dangerous levels of anger at how some in my office have handled this situation  I will never understand people who 1) can't have compassion and 2) can't recognize they don't have compassion and decide to STFU.

  • Yes - F cancer.  F it hard.

And I am also harboring dangerous levels of anger at how some people on our board have no compassion and can't STFU.

    NFT.
  • I have no idea what is going on.
  • ::sits with @PMeg19::

  • I apologize - it's a FB thing.  I shouldn't have mentioned anything here.
  • I'm just going to put it out here that the new ignore feature on the New Knut is awesome.

  • *sits with pmeg and taw*

I do want to pass a hearty f*ck you to Cancer though.  HS friend's dad has a brain tumor, that is not responsive to anything and they can't operate.  It's sad because he is like the cooooolest dad.  *fist bumps for mr. j*
  • Boo Varuna. Boo O-face. Side note: one of DH's co-workers (DH is actually his manager) was ranting on and on about how pharma companies have the cure but won't share it ala Kevin Trudeau. Finally, DH pipes up and tells them what I do for a living and says he is really curious about this. So the guy wrote a list of places on the Interwebz to check out for more info. He brought it home and we laughed and laughed at the list. None of it was peer reviewed, the science was total junk, etc. I gave DH the counterpoints and he said the guy was all flustered, which made DH feel bad.

    Definately Fck cancer.

(that said, the 2 people I know I mentioned on FB who were out from my workplace because of cancer?
both are back @ work.  One probably shouldn't be--but, at least physically, he's improving a lot.  The other is doing much better.
Both look weird to me w/ short hair but I'm happy as a clam to see 'em)
  • My entire life is pretty much one huge 'fuck cancer' cluster.

  • PMEG - Handing crazy people their asses since 2008 (most likely earlier)
  • I told DH that at the next company get together he should be sure to introduce me. DH rolled his eyes.
  • I'll go along with this.  A coworker's mother just died yesterday, three months after finding out she had lung cancer.  Terrible.

    Officially hitched as of 10/25/13

Cancer can definitely go EFF itself, and so can obtuse coworkers who can't be bothered to either have sympathy or STFU about their non-sympathy having ways.
