Re: yo lurkers

  • man, i remember this couple that moved in together during senior year of college, and when they broke up, it was all "who gets the bed? the couch? the skillet?" they had a ready pool of buyers and roommates and it was still a mess of wagon wheel coffee table proportions.

  • Plusalso, many of these chick said that they bought the house but really their bf bought the house and they moved thinking that one day he would put her name of the deed.

Yep, how did that work out when you break up and you have to call your 19 year old cousin to swing by with his pickup truck to collect the few things you could sneak out while he was at work.

Yes, coworker, I'm looking at you.

In some ways, this was a perk of having roomies.

The roomie I had when I was dating the Mr...we knew it was temporary.
We actually had a 'book of grudges' that sat on a shelf--it wasn't grudges so much as debts.  And it included things like "C gets the expresso machine in exchange for paying the May phone bill"  and "GBCK gets the rabbit ears for the TV" and detailed how we paid for the damn curtains, so we could divy fairly--it was mostly that we didn't want to forget at the end of the lease and have it be a mess.

that would explain why I don't own the machine anymore--I don't spell it right, let alone drink it right :-P

(I was given the machine--it was probably worth more than 1 phone bill...)

I haven't read my FI's full credit report but I have seen his score and know the basic ups and downs of his credit situation.

But then again, he asked me on the second date if I was scared of debt, and showed me his student loan statement. Dating: it's different after divorce.

  • Yes, and I have actively been working with him since the beginning of our relationship to improve his credit.
