thanks everyone! My dress is pretty filthy and I ripped the bustle when I was walking over the storm grates on the street. But, it was stupid fun. It was like having a reception with 2 million people screaming "CONGRATS!" all at once.

This little old lady actually screamed for me to come over to the gate, so I did, and she kissed my cheek and handed me a rainbow floral bouquet and said "you need this today".

PS - @CMGr our anniversary date is September 8th. That is the date we will continue to celebrate. This friday will just be formality. Although, I ALWAYS say that the date that someone does their "paperwork" IS their wedding date, it just doesn't apply in our cirumstance.

I almost hate saying that, because, I know EVERYONE thinks their circumstances are special.. but, since the government prohibited us from getting legally married before, I actually do think our circumstances are special.
