We did it. We got legally wed. For the low, low price of $187.00, we were married in a quick JOP ceremony at the local county recorder. It was over in less than 5 minutes. The gold wallpaper, cheesy plastic arch with dusty fake flowers really sealed the deal for us. 
We weren't going to have the JOP ceremony, since my partner's father is ordained and could sign the license for us, but, he was out of town for a week, and we just wanted to get it over with, so we had the JOP do the quick ceremony. There were a few other couples there waiting to get married, and they all had these tiny little bouquets, so my sweetheart thought I needed one. So, RAN around the corner to a florist and had her throw a quick bouquet together, which she did in less than 5 minutes, and matched my summery dress beautifully. ($40.00)
Luckily, our wedding photographer is one of my very good friends and she said "I am COMING and gonna take some pictures!". So, she came and snapped a few pictures of us getting our license and having our quickie ceremony and also, acted as our witness.
