  Lemon might be a little bit summery, but your guests might actually like a nice taste of summer in the fall. And believe it or not but it is actually a trend for 2013 weddings to have citrus flavors in cakes like mango or passion fruit. Its also another trend to have different flavors per layer, so that may be nice too.

  Make what you and your fiance wants because when it's all done you are stuck with the food if no one takes it. At least it will be your favorite. People will adapt. Remember it's your wedding when they have theirs they can have a plain cake lol
