I just, for the the love of all that is decent, just never understood the mustache thing. Can anyone even TRY to explain it to me because I just don't get it. I'm in my early 20's and understand most trends but I haven't, for the life of me, been able to figure this one out. Being a Baltimore girl, I always thought it was a Natty Boh thing, until it started showing up EVERYWHERE!

My coworker is planning her wedding and her Pinterest board is chock full of mustaches, including stick-on mustaches for the bridal party for photos. I don't get it, either. Somewhere along the way, mustaches became uberhip. Especially '70 porn-star staches. My poor fiance has been trying to grow one for six months now. Dirty hipster (whom I love).

I hate mustaches. But I always have and always will love bacon.

Picked up photobooth props and had several requests for mustaches, so to please the crowds I begrudgingly got a few - but they're gold and sparkly. Mwa ha ha.

Decorative bacon?! I have entirely missed this fad. It cannot be conducive to low cholesterol. I'd rather decorate my stomach with bacon. Which, incidentally, is also not conducive to low cholesterol. Alas.

I am not a fan of the whole antler fad. I just don't understand them. Hanging on walls, dipped in paint, strapped to your head...

I love bacon really a lot. But I am not on the 'pictures of bacon on everything' train.

HOWEVER - I did find this wall decoration that simply says 'I love you more than bacon' - which is saying something. And is cute in my kitchen hanging over the stove, where I frequently cook bacon.

So I guess I am a half-offender of perpetuating the trend. :-/

This current bacon obsession really bothers me for a number of reasons. I won't go into the ethical/environmental issues, but I will say this: according to the Harvard School of Public Health, people should completely avoid processed meats (bacon, cold cuts, hot dogs, etc.) since "regularly eating even small amounts of these foods raises the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and colon cancer."
