Rustic Wedding help in Western NY

Hello everyone. I am really interested in having a rustic barn wedding/reception but I am have a terrible time finding a barn in the area. I'm looking at the buffalo/niagara falls areas but am willing to travel for the right place. If anyone has any suggestions or knows of anyone that would be willing to rent out their barn, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Rustic Wedding help in Western NY

  • I know of two that might work but they are both closer to the Rochester/Finger Lakes area...

Springdale Farm Bed and Breakfast: http://www.springdalefarmbb.com/events.html
This is in Victor, so it is right off the Thruway and probably only an hour from Buffalo.

This is further out (in Ithaca), but I it is a very cool space!

    Good luck(-:

  • I was convinced I wanted a barn wedding when I started looking, but I ended up settling on an all inclusive place with a stone fireplace and exposed beam ceiling (Glenora Wine Cellars).

I really liked Hurd Orchards in Holley, NY

I saw photos of weddings here and think it is the perfect wedding barn. They are a functioning farm so they have some date restrictions, but they also do your flowers from their gardens and have a vintage plate collection you can use.

Becker Farms and Vizcarra vineyards is not a barn but looks very rustic.

Suzanne's Fine Region Cuisine (a farmhouse restaurant with a big barn) is far away, but has a great barn wedding set-up and great food.

Chateau LaFayette Reneau winery & inn has a small banquet room in their winery barn.

The Rabbit Room/Lower Mills in Honoye Falls is a restaurant in an old mill. It's very rustic in there and the food is excellent.

Bristol Harbour in Canandaigua is rustic in a "lodge" sense.

Hobbit Hollow Farm B&B is in Skaneatles

There are lots of barns in the capital region if you're willing to travel to that end of the state. Stone Tavern Farm, Full Moon Farm, 1899 Barn, Pruyn House and Buhrmaster Barn.

    I hope that helps!

  • Josephs Country manor had an interesting 'rustic' sort of feel.  they had indoor lodgey type space and outdoor + covered pavillion-type spaces too.... not quite a barn, but it might be worth a visit.  .... the pics of the place are terrible though. lol

other than that, id definitely check some of the wineries.
  • Definitely check out Freedom Run Winery!   http://www.freedomrunwinery.com/

They have a lovely barn that they rent out for weddings, although, I think it would be best for a smaller wedding (100 or less).

I definitely agree that Becker Farms is a great option, too!  Very rustic, and a lovely country atmosphere.  :)
  • I would def say becker farms!! But when are you having your wedding, because they only do weddings until late summer.

Definetly check LEB short for "La Esposita Bonita" which means The Beautiful Wife, is a private property and the grounds are beautiful, they have a gate at the entrance with the LA Esposita Bonita

Sign in the piers, a new barn...(was still under construction when we were there but looks great, specially for a wedding background. I went there for an outdoor party and was amaizing, the HUGE pond/lake was great for picks,

I will post more pics next

here are other pics from LEB, by the way this is in Varysburg, NY 12mi east of East Aurora.

If you want a private event, or exclusive to your party, this is the place to go ;)
    nice sunset
I think the inside of the barn has a platform you could use for a band

Hope it helps! Good Luck with your plans!

Toad Hill Tree Farm is a rustic, 1900 barn wedding/event venue in Western New York (Located between Buffalo and Rochester). They are just starting to host events on their farm so availability is good.
  • Is there a way to contract LEB in Varysburg? I cannot find a website for them. Thank you.
