OP wasn't invited. But, all of her friends (she says) were. She is upset and wants to know WHYYY she wasn't invited. Except, she isn't actually FRIENDS with any of these people. She knows them from church. But, has never hung out with them outside of church.

She thinks she should just show up to the wedding anyway.

And she has asked them multiple times to hang out outside of church, and they've always declined. But somehow she still thinks they are friends, and close enough that she should have been invited. And doesn't understand church acquaintance =/= close friend, even after 19 pages.

MUD.

OP claims she was the only one not invited to a friend's park wedding, wanted to go anyway. Claimed she was BFFs with B/G. The reality seems to be they ignore her like a diseased rat. She kept asking why couldn't she ask why he wasn't invited and why didn't they want to be friends with her and she said hi in church every week so obvs they were besties. It came out other people weren't invited, but OP claimed all the people in the whole world whom she knew were going to be at this wedding.

NOLA... can you elaborate on the mass exodus?? I hadn't posted on here in a long time, until recently I posted a few questions. And I noticed it's like a whole new world... wtf happened?? It seems like almost everyone is gone, and the tone feels different. I see cuss words now!! And it does seem nicer, less drama, less sarcastic and snippy replies. (SORRY if that offends ppl or I get flamed, bc I know everyone would get pissed off whenever someone accused the board of being "mean"). But IDK, it is like totally different now.

Where'd everyone go?!??! What happened!??! I've been wonderin'!!

I'm floored the Knot Gods haven't noticed that the thread was a complete explosion of obvious trolling and just closed the fucking thread after the first 8 pages of "Why don't they like me?", "They don't have to have a reason", "But I talk to them at church, so why don't they like me?"

I'm not sure trolling is against the new TOS. But AEs are, because reasons.

Most of the E and SB regulars left TK and formed a group on Proboards. So things around here were really slow for a while. They are starting to pick up again, but the board posts are still only a fraction of what they used to be.

Thank, Libby, for picking up the previous question. But yeah, there was a very close-knit group of regs who were a lot of fun. We used to do morning threads and evening threads that would be dedicated exclusively to just chatting about each other's lives. FFF was also a lot bigger deal (I think the new TOS have put a HUGE damper on that anyway with not being allowed to call people out or link to other threads).

I miss those women. They were great. A bunch of them came back on April 1....the moment in Harry Potter's final movie when he finally shows up at Hogwarts came to mind when that happened. But there have been amazing new posters that have begun to fill the spaces lately.

It's still a lot quieter around here without them.

She has a thread on weddingbee, too, exactly like the one she started here, just FYI. On the other thread here, someone linked to a thread on weddingbee from a poster asking if she should contact a teacher's spouse or some such thing. There was some speculation that is the same person. But in addition to that one (if that is her), there is a thread she started with virtually the same post she put here.

Update: Following another website the OP is posting about this topic on no less than 7 other websites including a 'social anxiety' thread which leads me to believe they are more legit then we originally thought and truly do not understand or can't understand the reason why they shouldn't attend a wedding they're not invited to. I hope they get the help they need to figure that out before that make the situation awkward for everyone.

If they are a troll...it's the most elaborate one I've heard of lately.
