Wedding Ceremony/Reception Venue with Outdoor Space Help!

My fiance and I just got engaged and we are starting to look for wedding/reception venues. Our guest list is 130 but we are hoping that only 110 will actually come. What we would like is a restaurant with event space where we could hold the ceremony and reception. I would prefer to have the ceremony outside, but if that is not an option I could live without it.

We have looked at the Aster Cafe and Solera, and I love both venues, but I was wondering if there were any other cool options out there that I might be missing out on. The space we get doesn't have to be a restaurant, I just liked the idea of food and beverage all being included.

I would love to hear any suggestions that anyone has.

Thanks!

  • I had my wedding at Centennial Lakes Park in Edina, the park centrum building holds 120. The building has an awesome patio off the back that my guests loved and spent a lot of time on. You can bring in your own vendors there, just have to use their beverage provider. Also, Pinstripes is next to the park and that'd be a fun reception venue too :-)

  • We're probably having our wedding & reception at Eagan Community Center.  It sounds kinda lame (to some people) to have a wedding at a community center but it's a really beautiful space inside and there are 4 nice spots outside to hold a ceremony and it's decently priced with discounts for off-season and Friday or Sunday weddings.  There are 3 options for food vendors & 1 beverage vendor.  The options for food are reasonably priced too!
  • We just had our wedding at Bearpath Golf & Country Club in Eden Prairie. They have an outdoor ceremony space, then we had our cocktail hour outside, followed by the dinner in their ballroom.  Check it out, as I received lots of compliments from our guests on how beautiful it was.  Also, it ended up being about the same price as most other places that make you use their catering.

I don't have my pro pics back yet, but you can see the space in our wedding video (http://ctmoments.typepad.com/blog/2013/07/tony-erika-71313.html). Good luck in your venue search!
