2 Cakes under $425

GEEZ cakes are expensive! I'm obsessed with a cake design I've found and the lady that was going to do our cakes doesn't do fondant!

Our wedding is also going to be in Azle so some of these delievery fees are ridiculous!

Anyone know of someone or somewhere that can help out? We would really like to get 2 cakes for $425  or 1 cake and cupcakes

Check out The Cake Guys in Duncanville. They only charge $75 for delivery I believe... great pricing in their Sweet Inspirations program.

I don't know how many people you are looking at, but I am going with Calling All Cakes, and she can make buttercream look just like fondant, or she does fondant also. But just be prepared every where I looked fondant added about $1 per slice, which can really add up.

Have you looked at Candy Haven. My sister had a three tier cake and grooms cake and the total with delivery free was 577.00 (but our delivery was all the way to Garland from their bakery in Denton).

I am getting a 3 tiered cake plus grooms cake for $350 including delivery  and fondant. She is located in Haslet so I'm not sure how close that is to you. PM for her info.

Do you have to do fondant? I've found that buttercream usually taste better and it's  more affordable and can still look really pretty! That will help you stay in your budget. Or you could just do one cake, but do two different flavors in the tiers.

Totally agree that buttercream tastes better. I've seen a lot of beautiful cakes done in buttercream and still has at intricate or as nice a design as a fondant cake.

I absolutely second the rec for The Cake Guys.  They had by FAR the best cake (and we've tried about 12 bakeries/bakers) and by FAAAAAR the best price out of anyone.  Everyone else has been around $630+ including delivery and The Cake Guys came in at about $500 in total for us.  Unfortunately they were not available on our wedding date, but their cakes and prices are truly the best.

ETA:  We actually did meet with 2 individual bakers who came under the $630 mark.  However, the quality of their cakes to us was less than what we wanted (if I'm paying $495+ for a cake, it better be a REALLY good cake! LOL).  So there are some other pricing options out there...it just depends on how important cake is to you and what your personal tastes are.

I am not a big fan of wedding cake - in fact I usually skip it all together. But I could not get enough of our sample box from Cake Guys. So delicious!

Thanks ladies! I'll check all of these out!

I'm not a fan of icing at all but my fiance wants us each to have a cake! Hopefully one works out! Can't believe I've only got 79 days left!

How many servings did your cakes have? I just checked their pricing and it's $3.25 a slice.

I am a minority here.  I only liked 1 flavor (Key lime - thank you Courtney :P)  from Cake Guys.  The others were just kind of bland for me.  However, I adored all the flavors I tried at Radford Cakery :)
