I think the woman who wrote this letter should be "euthanized"

I cannot believe the balls some people have.  To not only type this out but to actually give it to the family in question is just amazing.  What the hell is wrong with people?

  • I know. I was so shocked when I saw that.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • So disgusting.

I really hope they find out who wrote it.

  • I saw this last night.  It horrified me that there are still people like this around.

  • It is so cowardly that they just wrote a letter and didn't even sign their name. I hope that means it is just some asshole who chose a horrible and pathetic way to let off some steam. I can't wrap my brain around someone actually wanting to harm this child because of his autism. Just sick.
  • It's disturbing that people still have this attitude.  Something fairly similar happened to my grandparents with my Down syndrome uncle in the 1950s (it was a group from their church that came to their house....my grandma ended up punching the lady that said it).

The way I look at it though is, as long as they don't act on anything, it's their loss.  My uncle was the sweetest person I've ever known and they definitely missed out by not knowing him.

The person who wrote this letter should be euthanized. Slowly.

I'm actually surprised that person knows what euthanasia is, considering how ignorant they are.

ETA: I just realized I pretty much re-wrote the title of the post here. My brain has the dumb.
  • I showed this to my husband last night. It's disgusting.

  • This is horrifyingly disgusting.  I can't believe people have these thoughts.

Am I the only one who doesn't feel intense hatred for the letter writer? Not that I agree with them at all. But I'm not sure how suggesting we harm them is any better.

In all honestly, someone has to be pretty messed up and extremely unhappy to write a letter like this in the first place.

    ETA: clarity

I'd hire a private investigator and find them. Then I would harm them. if someone sent a letter like this to my daughter.
  • That is disgusting... And these people don't live very far from me. Makes you wonder what your neighbours are actually like.. Awful
  • I read the first sentence of the article and couldn't read any further. Disgusting doesn't even begin to describe that kind of behavior.

  • We used to have a special needs child that lived around the corner. To some, it may have sounded like he was screeching or making wierd noises, but actually he had headphones on and was singing along. It's sad that people judge without knowing anything

We had a non-special needs neighbor who did this. If anything, it used to make us smile that she was enjoying her day so much.

  •  I was outraged when I saw this. Where do people get off thinking this is ok?!
  • If it makes anyone feel better, the neighborhood rallied outside the grandmothers house to support the family. Presumably within sight of the evil letter writing neighbor.
  • This made me want to throw up.

Let's see how "normal" her children turn out being brought up by a terrible creature who has no regard for human life.
