Just venting

 My wedding guest recently received invitations to my wedding,The other night I get a fb invite from the SO of one of my relatives to their baby shower that is the same day as my wedding. I know people will do what they are going to do and they can pick what ever date they want and no one will be as excited about my wedding I am but still...ugh!

    Do you think they can't do both or something?  Do the times conflict?  This might've been something that they didn't have a lot of control over.  I understand you're venting, but really, this isn't a BFD at all.

    If they've been invited to the wedding I feel like it's "crappy but what can you do?".  I'd be more pissed that they invited me to something on my own wedding day.

    Sadly no because we live in different states and most of the family lives closer to them. The times do conflict as well. It is possible that some one else planned it or something. I'm def. not making an issue of it with them. On the up side, I'll save some on catering.

    Not pissy about it just taken by surprise and kind of bummed that some of the family I would have loved to have attend the wedding now will not be.

    I would message her. Say thank you for the invite, but unfortunately you cannot attend because your wedding is that day. See what she says. She could just have pregnancy brain and didn't realize she scheduled it on the same day.

    I did send a reply wishing them the best at their shower and though I could not be there because of getting married that day but am planning to send a gift before the little munchkin arrives.

    You know how you will have those weeks as the date gets closer that are super stressful and little things that would normally not be a thing at all bother you a little because you're feeling more sensitive than usual? It was one of those kind of things.
