I sent my invitations out on 8/10. 166 invited....so far I think I have 10 yes. I have more at my parents house (that's where the responses have gone to). Last night my mom said she has like 8 cards back. I'll find out more this weekend. I'm not really worried about it. The RSVP date is 9/28. The wedding is 10/19 and final count isn't due until 10/9. I'll have a week to reach out to people. If I don't hear I'll just count them as a yes. Better to be safe than sorry. Plus I have a 150 person min that I'm paying for anyway...and I don't think I'll have 150 ppl there haha so if I'm paying anyway I'll just include them in the count. I'm really not concerned or stressed. Everything will fall into place.

We got our first "no" today that I'm a little irritated over. It was from FI's aunt and her SO. Long story short, apparently the aunt is currently having a drama fight with FI's grandparents and mom, and therefore decided to not attend our wedding because his grandparents and mom will be there.
I hate it when adults choose to act like children and miss out on important events because of it.

I'm starting to get a little worried. I haven't received an RSVP in about a week. (Which is really depressing cause I love seeing those little envelopes in the mail.) We sent them out 8/6 and have only 23/112. The deadline is September 1st. I'm trying not to freak out but now I'm worried people never got their invitations. Maybe I will just get a lot in the next week and be really happy when I see the mailbox. If not I will start calling people after the first.

That's exactly what I'm worrying about at this point too! There's still so many people we haven't heard from, but I don't wanna sound pushy if I'm calling up everyone asking if they got their invites (and there's still three weeks until RSVPs are due). I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that everyone got it!

I sent mine out last Friday before I went camping. Since then we've received 15 RSVP cards back for a total of 30 people coming and 2 people not coming (their due date for their new addition to the family is two weeks before). My guess is there will be a few more days where I receive more than three cards in the mail and then I'll hit a lull until the end of September (due date is October 1). I'm not too concerned though - we know how to find everyone since our rule of thumb for inviting was to invite people we have spoken to in the past year to help keep the guest list down...

I just got one back from FIs grandparents (dads side) and we invited 2 of them. The RSVP says 4

FI asks me to talk to his dad to see who the possible extras are. Turns out its his uncle/aunt that we didnt send an invite to. The grandparents thought they would just include them on their RSVP.

Well, we purposely didnt invite them since they are drug addicts... FI dad is paying for the majority of the wedding so we couldn't exactly tell him they can't come. I'm just going to make sure to not seat them with some of my moms conservative and judgey-pants family.

I put half of the invitations to go out in the mail tomorrow and the other half will go out on Monday. Our RSVP date is 9/28. I'm hoping people will be prompt in their responses.
