I'm a bit overwhelmed; not sure what the proper ettiquette is for wedding favors... Do they have to edible? Or can they be something like bubbles, or idk I'm lost!
Ideas please!
I want guests to remember this day and have it be unique but still budget friendly!
Re: Wedding favor ideas plz!
#1, Favors are not required.
At the end of the day, no one wants to or will "remember" your wedding favor...unless it is a super tasty treat. If you'd really like to give a favor, think something decadent that is not necessarily expensive...chocolate/fudge covered oreos, truffles, a decorated sugar cookie...you get the idea. It's not worth it to waste money on a tulle baggie of M&Ms or Hershey's Kisses.
No one needs more junk for their junk drawer, so coasters or koozies or candles are also unnecessarily. The angels the pp mentioned are also not something a majority of guests will want. If it doesn't match my home decor (I don't display angels in my home) I wouldn't take it.
I had jordan almond flowers that friends help me put together. I bought jordan almonds in my wedding color. Friends helped me put them together. hey were not expensive ~$1 a piece. I didhave leftovers but I use hem instead of bows on packages. I put information on the history of jordan almonds and weddings on my menu.
You do have to be mean you are. I am to the point but not mean
Being honest is not being mean.
I would not use an angel anywhere in my decor or in my car...that's just my opinion. Favors are for the guests, so you have to be considerate. Are all of your guests Christian and celebrate Christmas or like to use Angels in their cars? Otherwise, just be prepared to have tons left behind.
Sorry if you can't handle honesty.
You might want to look up the defintion of harrassment.
I did not ask any of you for your thoughts I will do what I want to do thank you all
I completely agree with almost everything here, except I adore koozies. I come from a koozie-loving, close-knit group of friends. If it's in a can, it gets a koozie, whether it's beer or soda. And I could never have too many. We keep some in the bar, some in the car (for concerts & sporting events), and some in the tailgaiting bus. They are a necessity of life for this knottie!
Edible is always best. I love the chocolate covered Oreo suggestion. They are so good!
Most people will leave behind home décor (coasters, frames, trees.) I would never take an angel. It would stay right there. I don't decorate with them nor do I put them on Christmas trees.
If you choose to go the non-edible route, make sure it is something that you want to have multiples of. If you are left with a bunch of extra Oreos, awesome. If you are left with a bunch of coasters/angels/whatever, not so awesome.
My leftovers will be beautiful on my tree I pay for it I pick it
Well, then it won't matter if I tell you that you had better not feed anyone anything edible. Clearly, knick-knack favors are your only option. /sarcasmfont
Absolutely, it's important to let guests know of allergens, but it's not your responsibility to have every item allergen free.
Lip balm. I found that I was getting favours at weddings that I would never actually use (I have a ton of wine stoppers and I don't drink wine, and enough shot glasses to last me a lifetime!), so I figure every girl can use an extra tube of lip balm (vanilla flavoured) for her purse, or wherever.
