NWR: What are you looking forward to this weekend?

I am in a fantastic mood right now. Last night I made a delicious pizza for dinner, and we ate and drank wine outside on our little deck. We really haven't eaten outside as much as we should have, so I'm trying to take advantage of the beautiful weather and do it more often now.

We finished a large bottle of wine and talked all about our plans for our Etsy shop, as well as about our finances. A few days ago I really wanted to go to the Bronx Zoo, but I could tell BF didn't really want to spend the money so I dropped it, yet I was moody with him for a while afterwards. Last night I apologized for getting that way, and I told him that he needs to say "No" to me when he thinks we shouldn't spend money on something. We also discussed a good savings plan for him now that he's making more money. He needs to pay off a few bills and about $1k in credit card debt, but after that he should be able to save a good amount every month. Finally, we ordered some heavy linen cardstock so that we can start printing some nice samples. We still need to source nice boxes to ship in, and envelopes, but we're getting there! We decided to shoot for Oct. 1st to "open" our shop, and we're going to get BF's sister's boyfriend (a professional photographer) to come up and take the photos of our samples for the listings. I'm really excited!

No idea what we're doing tonight/tomorrow, but Sunday afternoon I'm meeting up with my ex-roommate for brunch in the city. I've seen her twice since we reconnected, but both times our boyfriends were with us. I'm looking forward to being able to talk to her without the guys around. I'm so happy that we're becoming friends again, and to be honest, I am DESPERATE for girl time. I'm trying to get BF to invite his friends over to watch football that day, since I think he needs guy time, and I even promised to buy beer and prep buffalo wings for them - I should have GF-of-the-year award on lock with that!

  • Hummingbird125 that sounds fun! I sometimes wish I had reconnected with my roommate prior to moving out of state. We definitely did not fit well as roommates, but she was an awesome person and it would have been great to stay friends.

I'm also kind of jealous of eating outside! We have a nice patio set, but our backyard is a complete wasteland. Its so dry here that our grass does not grow, so it's 100% dirt if you don't include a few weeds that manage to pop up, meaning our patio gets dusty. And, in the fall, ALL the leaves seem to get sucked into the patio. It's such a pain to clean off all the time prior to using that we've just stopped using it. It makes me sad because it's so awesome and comfy to sit out there

Speaking of k-cups - did you see that now you can get Campbell's Soup in a k-cup?  I'm not too sure how I feel about that...
I saw that the other day! Definitely weird.

And I might sounds stupid but what are D & D kcups @buddysmom80? Dunkin Donuts? I just bought a box of the Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice ones. Haven't tried them yet, hopefully they're good.

Also, has anyone else tried the Kahlua ones? So good.
