What DID you learn, anyway?

Re: What DID you learn, anyway?

  • @CocoBellaF, that is devious! Muahahaha! Poor BF is going to come home one day and realize his bathroom is no longer his own.
  • Our comfort levels with regards to poop/farts had to get pretty high very quickly. I have ulcerative colitis, and I started flaring about two months into our relationship. I explained the situation pretty early on to my partner. I mean, how else am I going to explain the number of consecutive trips to the bathroom and the rate at which I was going through toilet paper? It also was tough to go on dates where there wasn't a bathroom around.

In ALL of my relationships before my partner and I got together, I would never fart in front of a significant other. Ever--even when he'd be farting up a frickin' storm around me. Again, having colitis and flaring meant that it was not feasible for me to run to the bathroom every time I needed to fart.

These days, I'm in remission (so no longer running to the bathroom 15 times a day and farting all the damn time). But being sick REALLY meant that we had to get over the whole, "Oh my god, they're going to know I was pooping!" thing.

  • This isn't about poop, but early in the relationship, my boyfriend and I were rough-housing and he laughed to hard and snot shot all over me. That's one way to become comfortable with each other very fast..
"Love is hard and love is messy and it can hurt worse than fire, and sometimes it makes you wanna tear down a building with your bare hands, but it also happens to be the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I'm obviously not a big fan of hyperbole."
