Foil eyeshadow from Stila.

I am quickly approaching the "do not care how many American dollars" these products are .  :D

Re: OFace and other makeup/nail peeps

  • I have heard the Ciate manicures suck for the most part- messy, difficult for most people to do, and they last for shit. I'm interested in the Stila eyeshadow- I generally like their eyeshadow. Right now though, I'm banned. I spent a lot of money there for my birthday and DH is currently appalled at how much makeup I own (although in my defense a good portion is drugstore finds and some it is old/nearing its end).
  • Hm, that's the first I've heard that about Ciate.  There is one manicure they had that were the dot things that didn't get good reviews, but the others usually do.  I just want a feather manicure.  C'mon nails, grow!

I really really really really want that Stila eyeshadow.  It's $32 though. I just...can't.  That's ridiculous.  It's getting good reviews.  I'm afraid to go in person, b/c I might buy it.  And it's not like I have a ton of places to wear something like that.
  • You know you can foil any eyeshadow with a type of solution.  (sounds like a pompous windbag)

Also, find some niche brands like glamour doll eyes or the such.  They do loose shadows...but a really great solution that helps with foiling, super sticky.  Or even better Fyrinnae.  They are great too.

    YAY FOR MAKEUPS.
  • No, I didn't know.  I'd never heard of it until this popped up through my feed.  My makeup has gotten boring conservative again.  What is the solution you get for it?
  • I sometimes just use saline solution, but fyrinnae has a great one that comes in a lip gloss-esque tube that is nice and tacky you use the TIIIINNNIEST bit and it works like glue to adhere the loose shadow to your lid in a nice and wet/sparkly lovely sheen.
  • Here is the one from GDE (glamourdolleyes):

  • Well crap, it's sold out.  *harrumph*
  • So wait.  Is this just putting on wet eyeshadow?  I thought it was like a shinier (aka foiled look) version of eyeshadow.

I might not be able to play with this.  I can use eyeshadow as a liner, but just mixing it in wet means it sits on my hooded lids weird and settles into creases badly.

    BOO.
  • Yes, I have issues with hooded eyes too (one more than the other-yay!), but it's still a nice fancy shine.  Yes, foiling is just wet shadow...and the way it dries just makes it a different finish.

  • Hm, okay.  Thanks!

I knew it was worth posting.  :D

  • Hey, I'd let Raven drag me up in a heartbeat.
  • I'm dying to try some of the Fyrinnae shadows. I see consistently good reviews on them. But as noted above, I need more makeup like I need a hole in my head.
