I love the look of high heels, but I just can't wear them for extended periods of time. These are my dream shoes, but I sadly had to return them because they were 4.5" heels. I may end up getting some 1.75" heels custom made because I've bought and returned about 6 pair that just weren't right.

Well, I got myself custom Chucks for the reception, but I wanted to find flats for the ceremony. I ended up with a pair of EZ Spirit ballet-style flat with a rhinestone accent. My fiance is only an inch or two taller than me,so even if I felt comfortable in heels, I wouldn't go with them.

I started off with 2.5" heels, but after wearing them for 10 mins around the house, my plantar fasciitis was killing. So I also bought platform flip flops. I think I'll try to wear the heels for the ceremony and then flip flops after.

A wonderful site for shoes is Shoes of Prey. They will customize the shoes in a variety of colors and heel height. Since size is customized, if you have larger feet bonus! They also have wide width as an option. I had a pair of flats made. It's a great experience and not too pricey for a customized wedding shoe.

not sure i have wide feet and finding dress shoes to fit is a hassle and most of the pretty wedding shoes only come in m with. i am also a size 10 in shoes and thats another issue

Woo hoo! I found cute white patent leather sandals with about a 2-inch heel at Payless on clearance for $9. However, I switched to cute bridal flip flops after the ceremony because I knew I would be standing for most of the reception. My feet couldn't really be seen with my dress, so I wasn't too concerned about my shoes.

I'm getting married on a boat and I'm not really one for heels either. I opted for some really pretty, sparkly sandals. I'm doing a whole Grecian goddess look, so sandals went with that perfectly.
