Ceremony/Reception Venues in the Dayton area

Hey ladies! I am a bride getting married next September and am beginning the search for our perfect venue(s). I am actually a Dayton bride, however, as most of you know, there is no Dayton board. So I am posting in Columbus and Cincinnati in hopes that you lovely brides will know of some venues in my area! I am open to outdoors, but prefer indoors. I want something breath-taking, (doesn't every bride?!) so the basic banquet halls are out for me. I was thinking the ceremony and reception in the same place would be nice, but not necessary. I am open! ANY ideas are welcome and much appreciated. Thanks girls!

Oh! Forgot to mention: My father's only request (pretty much) is that the venues stay close to our hometown of Troy, Ohio. Since he has been so willing to help with the wedding, I really would like to accomodate this request! So no more North than Piqua, no more South that Dayton, no more East than New Carlisle, and no more West than Clayton/Englewood. Thanks again!!!

I'm from the Dayton area as well and have been looking for some venues, none of what I found fits what I want, but they might be perfect for you.

    The Crystal Ballroom in Troy
I don't have a website, but the reviews were alot better that Ft. Piqua Plaza

    The Christopher Club in Dayton
    http://thechristopherclub.com

Coopers Farm and Catering in Ludlow Falls
    coopersfarmandcatering.com

Also have you thought about some of the historical places in Troy or Piqua? If there's a Museum or Historical house that you like sometimes they do weddings.

The Hayner Cultural Center does weddings and it looks like it has a beautiful space and plenty of room.

We just went to a wedding in Troy/Dayton last weekend. The ceremony/hotel was in Troy and the reception was at the Dayton Art Institute. We had a fabulous time! The venue was gorgeous and the food was very good.

Thank you both for the input! We ended up booking our reception at the Fort Piqua Plaza Banquet Center. Beautiful space, and we're so excited!
