Don't want parents to give me away..

My parents are still alive and I will be on my second marriage.  We don't have the best relationship.  How should I handle this?  Would it be okay for no one to give me away or can I choose someone who is closer to me?  I didn't involve my parents in the first marriage either.  They may still be hurt by this.  Opinions?

    You can do whatever you want, as far as your escort! You can walk by yourself, with your FI, with both parents, ....

    It's your wedding but I suspect that having no one give you away will be less hurtful to your parents, unless you are talking about having a kid from your 1st marriage do it.

    I'm 50 and it is my second wedding.  I am walking in with my fiancé. 

    I think asking someone else could be hurtful.
