Bachelorette party?

Are you having one? I wanted to hear your plans :-)

I had mine last night and it was so fun. My sister planned it and decorated our car and me. We went to eat at my favorite restaurant and then went to my favorite bar to watch and awesome band. We did have 3 party crashers! They showed up to the bar with no money and asked for everyone else to pay their way in. My sister was nice and paid their way in (which was $10 a piece) and then they spent at least $100 in alcohol, hung out by themselves and left without saying a word. Keep in mind that when my sister planned this she offered to cover everyone's meal and $10 cover  for the bar. All of those who RSVP'd told her they would pay for their part. One of the crashers was the mother of one of the girls my sister invited and she was not invited to begin with. The other two never RSVP'd to my sister's invitation and never returned her follow up call so she assumed they were declines. They were standing in from of the bar when we got there. Ugh. I will definitely say something after our wedding because I don't want the drama before! It didn't ruin our night though, we still had a blast.

Re: Bachelorette party?

  • Yes I'll be having one, not quite sure what is in the works though. My bridesmaids are planning it, and haven't told me yet what is going to happen, but I think it's dinner out and then back to my sister's place for board games. I'm a more reserved person, so this potential plan sounds excellent :)

Glad that the crashers to your party didn't ruin your night, and I think that is very smart to wait to say something.

  • We're going out to a spa/salon and cocktail bar in one.  You can get a mani/pedi and drink mimosa's and champagne all night.  We're taking a limo from the hotel and my mom is coming :)  very excited about that.  It's the Thursday before since everyone is from all over the country so it's going to be a lot of fun to have everyone here for it.

  • No.  But I went to Dallas last week for a girls weekend with my two best friends from college and my SIL, who all live there. It was just lots of spa time, eating out, and going to my college homecoming game.
  • Just had mine on Saturday.  My best friend booked a room up near the casinos in CT.  My firneds and I had a little preparty in the room, then took a hotel shuttle to Mohegan Sun and danced the night away.  It was a blast, but I am still exhausted from it today.  LOL
  • We took a pole dancing class and then went out for dinner & drinks. I had sooo much fun!!
  • Mine was Saturday. We went to Pete's Dueling Piano Bar, which was an amazing time (and I got called up to sit on the piano and be serenaded a filthy song)! Then we had a ridiculously late dinner and took a cab back to the hotel. :)
  • I'm not having one. Neither FI or I have close friends and we have a pretty big age gap with our closest family. No worries though, neither of us were disappointed.
  • Mine was back on 10/12. We went to dinner at an amazing wine bar in Annapolis, MD (we live ~20 min away and usually go out in Baltimore or DC so it was a nice change!).

THEN we went bar hopping. I had a sash and a tutu (for people to sign) and we did a scavenger hunt organized by my MOH. Amazing time!
  • I had mine this past weekend and a big group of girls (12) went to Savannah for the weekend. We had way too much fun! I can't even begin to describe everything we did lol. We drank a lot of alcohol, did a lot of exploring, slow ride pub crawl, dinner at Jazz'd (this amazing Tapas restaurant), Bachelorette checklist (I had to kiss a bald guy on the head), lingerae shower, and more. It was incredible.
  • It sounds like everyone has had great bachelorette parties! I got a Bride to Be sash, a penis veil and a penis ring pop. It was pretty funny! My FI had a seafood and poker night at our house. Luckily, he has great friends that helped him clean up for the most part but the pots they used to cook the seafood are in our garage and even after being wash still smell like seafood. I hate seafood with the exception of crab legs and lobster so yuck, haha!

  • Im not having one nor is my FI
  • Ours are next weekend.  On Friday, he is going to dinner and to see Paul Reiser do stand up.  He has a groomswoman on his side, who wants to go to both.  Mine is Saturday night, we are spending the night in Atlantic City, but I don't know any details.
  • I don't think I'm having one but it doesn't bother me. No one's mentioned it, and I had a wonderful bridal shower so it's not like I didn't get anything. :)
  • I dont think I am having one but I am ok with it.. I mean I am like less than 2 weeks out and havent heard anything so I am thinking prob. Not but its ok :)
