Recommend your mascara please??

Hey ladies, I recently ran out of mascara and the new stuff I tried leaves me looking like a racoon by lunch.  Any suggestions for one that doesn't flake off??  Thanks

    I just bought Smashbox Bionic Eyes and I really like it. It lasts through workouts and doesn't look crazy.

    My absolutely favorite is BareMinerals Flawless Definition Mascara.  I can wear it all day and not have any issues with flaking or smudging.  

    I also like Maybelline Great Lash, which is a great inexpensive alternative.

    @freebread03 Your comment just made me check the new one.  It's also Grow Luscious but it's by Revlon, not L'Oreal.  I love the brush and how it went on, but it couldn't stay where it belonged.

    @WinstonsGirl yep, its definitely Revlon then. I get them all mixed up.  Bummer that it didn't stay for you!  I do use CoverGirl Lashblast in waterproof when I know its going to rain or I'm going to have a crazy sweaty workout (I don't take my makeup off before working out).  All this talk of BareMinerals mascara makes me want to try it!

    Loreal Beauty Tubes double Extend. It compares to the Blinc tube mascara from Sephora, and I cannot live without it. It coats your lashes with these tube things and totally stays put.

    L'Oreal Voluminous or Cover Girl Lash Blast in the green tube. Both have curved brushes which are essential for me.  And they give serious lashes, which I like. I don't usually have trouble with mascara running or giving me raccoon eyes, though.

    @freebread03 I've never had such bad racoon eyes.  It was black about 1/3" below my eyes by noon.  I wiped it off with a q-tip and 4 hours later it was back.  It's too bad cos I loved the brush and how it went on.  

    @everyone else  Me thinks I need to go to Sephora to see if we even get some of these brands up here.  I'm sure we do, but I'm not a big makeup person, so I'm never there.  Thanks for the suggestions though.  I'll check them out

    I use either cover girl lash blast or Sephoras brand volumzing. I have short and thin lashes they work the best for me.

    @kristbot  Excellent.  I'm sure they would, I just haven't been in one in years and didn't really pay attention to the brands when I was there.  I'm a Shoppers Drug Mart kind of make-up shopper.  ;)

    They're real by benefit is great, and I've never had a complaint with any Clinique mascara, so of recommend any Clinique mascara as well. I've recently tried better than false lashes by too faced, which actually uses nylon fibers between 2 coats of mascara to do temporary extensions, and it is incredible if you can apply it correctly- it's definitely a trial and error process to get it right.

    I don't wear makeup often, and when I do I wear Clinique. I'm sure there's better, cheaper mascara, though.
