@suzie211 - I have honestly not had a chance to get excited. Everything is happening so fast. I have a feeling I'm just going to wake up in Bethesda one day in January and be like "wait...how did I get here?" I am excited about a new chapter. Grad school is so 2011.

@minskat30 Eggplant in spicy garlic sauce, moo goo gai pan (chicken and veggies in a white wine type sauce) and veggie lo mein. They aren't the worse Amerinese (American Chinese) I've had and surprisingly not bad considering we're in the boonies of metro Atlanta.

I am miserable. Friend drove the 3ish hours to get us but the roads were getting bad so we're all spending the night at a cheap hotel in the middle of nowhere. Kid is miserable and won't sleep, I'm exhausted, and the wine tastes funny. I just want to be at home in my bed, snuggling with my kittens and drinking wine from a real glass not a styrofoam cup.

I wish I had known 4 months ago that all I needed to do to get my dog to calm down was to buy her a dog bed. At the time I thought it was a good idea to wait to get a better idea of how big she was going to be...but it's seriously like having a different dog right now. She's chilling out in her Christmas present chewing on a toy and not trying to bug me or BF at all.

@minksat30, our Boston Terrier is pretty dumb, but our Jackabee is smart as a whip. Stevie, our Boston, is just stubborn as hell, so I'm not sure if he's dumb or just does whatever the fuck he wants. It took him 3 weeks to learn the SIT command. It took Molly 2 days.

@minskat30 So cute! Cinders is a big goof too...and she keeps on being goofy after she notices that BF and I are laughing at her so she's either incredibly dumb or she just doesn't care.

@audrewuh He's probably just smart and stubborn... Cinders learned sit in a day and lay down and pretty much every other stupid command under the sun but she still refuses to come. The only time she does come when we call is if she feels like it or if we shake food in her bowl. I feel like a pet parent failure sometimes.

Ha! @Audrewuh - Rajah knows all his commands but has "selective hearing" and chooses when to comply. I think that stubborn is worse than stupid...he has no excuses.

@QuiltingNurse I'm sorry you're stuck in a crappy hotel for the night.

Is there a gas station or convenience store nearby? That happened to me and a friend in college one night. We went out and bought cheap beer and played card games most of the night. Then we got up in the morning and had more beer with waffles from the hotel waffle maker and were on our merry way.

The baby is in the same room so we have to stay quiet. We're in Upsala, Ontario, its so small that you likely couldn't find it on a map. The wine is tasting a bit better the more I drink

I think I saw that movie at least 5 times over the years in band because we happened to have a sub and it was always the movie of choice by our teacher apparently. Either that or West Side Story. I think it's worth trying to watch it even if you don't care for musicals just because it's a classic in its own right.

I'm just enjoying a hard cider while waiting for rice to cook. I picked up a ham from Costco after I got off of work. Now I just have to not eat it until my holiday party in a couple weeks. I'm hungry and I really want dinner now.
