I saw Catching Fire on Friday night w/ FI it was great. I really enjoyed the movie it didn't feel as long as it was either. The rest of the weekend we sat around didn't do much I finished the 1st compendium of the walking dead comics. Interesting to compare to the TV show. I did lots of cooking this week too.

My show opens this weekend so it means very long days for me. Work is very busy this week too. I am excited for the show to open on Friday.

I basically slept all weekend, and now I'm last-minute studying for a final exam I have at 2pm. I'm not worried--I'm the only grad student in the class, and the exam is based on 4 papers (one of which I had to present). I don't really care.

I'm mostly frustrated with how sick I still am. I need to talk to my doctor to reduce the amount of immunosuppressants I'm on. The whole point of taking them is that I was previously too sick to go to work ... and now I keep getting colds that knock me out for 2 weeks (or more) at a time! So ... kind of a problem still.

Oh one other good thing from this weekend! I managed to win a contest at my new hair salon. They were trying to name their homemade wine and beer. The salon's named is Iron Scissors and I won with Iron Courage! Just picked up my free bottle of wine and a $100 gift card. Yay pampering.

Hey all!

My weekend was BUSY. Decorated our Christmas tree Friday night (photo below), and I did some online present shopping. Saturday night we went out in the city with my old roommate, and we had a fantastic time. BF was doing shots of Jameson though, and while I thought he was fine, the minute our train started moving on the way home, he ran to the bathroom and puked. Not good. I'm sure that the fact we didn't eat dinner that night didn't really help matters.

Sunday we had lunch plans with a friend of mine, his wife, and their 15-month-old son at Dinosaur BBQ. It was AWESOME. BF and I were hungover and starving, and I think we ate our weight in meat. Luckily, there were still lots of leftovers to bring home. When we got home, we watched an episode of Friday Night Lights, and then took a 2 hour nap. Ate leftovers for dinner, and I made M&M cookies for dessert :-)

@swazzle you can have me since DH is still out of the country for another 2 days.

DH comes home Wednesday night and this weekend we're going to put up the tree and decorate. I am pumped! We also have a work holiday party on Saturday night. Can't argue with buffet, live music, and open bar for $5!

My weekend was awesome. I closed on Saturday night. Yesterday, BF and I went down to my hometown to visit my family and friends. I had lunch with my aunt. Spent some time with the parents and grandparents. My friends and I drank some while we played video games and watched Once Upon a Time.

This week will be my last boring week before holiday festivities kick off. All I know is there is a super late Hannukah celebration on Saturday morning with my BF's family at his grandparents' house. He's super pissed off about it. They do a secret santa-esque gift exchange every year and this year he got his cousin and one of his cousin's almost 2 year old twin sons. I kind of agree with him in the thought why does a baby that's not even 2 need to be in a secret santa exchange? Especially since the kids are usually given a whole bunch of gifts separately anyway. Sorry, I guess that turned out to be more of a rant than I thought it was.

My weekend was full of procrastination. I told BF I couldn't hang out this weekend at all because of finals this week, and then I did a crappy job of studying.

Friday I caved and went to dinner with BF. It was fun and we had a great time. We went back to his house and hung out, and we both conked out around 10 pm. I was woken up by him very sweetly around 1:30 am. He was so nice about it, it was wonderful. It took me forever to actually wake up, so I didn't get back to my dorm until about 2:30.

Saturday I was supposed to be working on a paper all day, but it dissolved into watch college football. I watch both the SEC Championship and the Big 10 Championship and got way too excited when I found out Auburn was going to the National Championship. I got zero work done on my paper and zero studying done.

Yesterday I went and ate lunch with my family. I came back to my dorm immediately to continue procrastinating my studying for my final today. I was up until 5 am working on my paper and studying.

I took my final today and it was OK. I'm just really tired. I have one tomorrow and one Wednesday and a final project due Thursday. After that, I'm going back home, where I will have the house to myself for the weekend as my parents are going to my cousin's graduation in Ohio. This means all the sexy times between me and BF. He's super excited.

Ladies ... I just took a final exam. I studied for it for about 45 minutes this morning. It took me 25 minutes and I felt confident that I had correctly and completely answered all the questions.

Unfortunately, I was out sick when we did the course evaluations so I couldn't formally tell the department that I learned NOTHING from this terrible class.

I had to get up at 6:30 this morning to give an 8 AM exam...that no one got an A on. I'm so done with my students this semester!

@Phira - I hate it when I take a class and learn nothing. It's such a waste of time!

@bethsmiles Oh goodness! I am so sorry about your students. Sounds like neither of us got a great bunch of students this semester

It's so strange--I honestly don't think I've ever taken a class before where I've learned NOTHING, but I really feel like I learned absolutely stinkin' nothing in this one.
