Rehearsal dress

I have been browsing for rehearsal dresses. Do you have any places that you have gone and had a lot of selection. I am looking for a dress for the summer that is white preferably. I am not looking to spend a lot maximum budget $100. Thanks!

Mine was a cute sundress I nabbed on sale at J Crew.

What are you looking for in a "rehearsal dress"? Have you looked where you normally shop?

Have you looked at Macy's or Nordstroms? I think those would be dandy places to find sundresses. It really depends on your style, and of course your body. But I think you could find a lovely white sundress just at a normal department store.

Just a note: I seriously roll my eyes at brides that wear white. People will know you're a bride. Is there a particular reason you want to wear white?

I posted white dresses because you asked for it, but I'm just going to include in here, that if you went with a different color (maybe a color that you feel absolutely amazing in, especially in the summer there are so many pretty colors to wear) then there are a BUNCH more options out there.

Meh, this doesn't bother me. It's not like she's wearing a second wedding gown. Who cares about a white sundress?

By your reasoning, she shouldn't wear white on the wedding day too since it will be clear she's the bride that day.

I got mine off modcloth and loved it! I ordered a couple different styles and it was easy to return the ones I ended up not using.

If the wedding isn't until the summer, I would wait to buy something until Spring when stores get their summer clothes in. You'll have a lot more selection and be able to try more stuff on.

FTR, you can wear whatever color you want. It doesn't have to be white, but if you want to wear white it affects others not at all. I wore kind of an off white to my RD. I ended up finding it at Marshall's when I wasn't even looking for it. It was about $50.

So by Jan/Feb some of the retail stores will be getting in their spring collection. Have no idea why but most retail stores get their next season's collection in around the 6 month away mark from the actual time the season starts. That's been my experience from working in retail.

So if you're looking for spring/summer - it should be hitting the racks soon.

Also what all the other PPs have said. You can wear whatever you want to the RD, I just know some see it as cute for the bride to wears a white cocktail/sundress to the RD. Others find it annoying. To each their own.

BTW OP - my date is Feb 8, 2014. 60 more days!!!!
