This board makes me so sad!

I am an MOB, planning a wedding for the Florida panhandle. This board is very inactive and it makes me so sad, for I have nowhere to go  for the real, honest information, inspiration and camaraderie that the other boards have.

In my opinion, The Knot has made a huge mistake lumping the Florida Panhandle with the Jacksonville and Tallahassee areas. They are *completely different* areas! It's like lumping together Philadelphia with New York City. They may be geographically close, but they are *entirely different* places!

I tried posting to the Florida West Coast board and got chased away and told to go to this board. :( I know the same thing has happened to other folks as well, and they just -- disappear from the boards altogether. 

As will I. Such a  shame.

    Agreed! I would like some real advice for my Pensacola Beach Wedding but Im just looking for stuff on my own. I really dislike that Jacksonville is grouped with it since it is 7 hours away. The only reason I know that is because I was told no by a Jville company since Im so far away!!!

    I am planning a Pensacola wedding, but as busy as I am planning I only sneak on here every once in awhile... I've figured most everything out all by myself with a little help from Google and Wedding Wire and other review type of websites.  

    Anyway, I totally agree with you... The panhandle is it's own little world.

    Couldn't agree more. I planned my wedding here in Navarre, FL (Santa Rosa County) and it almost impossible. No advice, no guidance, no info, etc....
    Thank gosh I planned 1.5 yrs ahead and researched any and everything I could think of. My wedding was successful, cost me $10,000 and I'm learning more and more. My husband is a DJ along the Emerald Coast and we've made great contacts over these past 3 yrs.
