    @HG, my well meaning sister sent us three bottles of wine for Christmas, none of which we really drink. Would you like the sauv blanc, the chardonnay, or the zin? I've a massive bottle of moscato plus enough tequila and mix to open my own "adults only" Chipotle. Ah, holidays...

    Clearly you've never met anyone who has a truly awful parent.  I have a friend from high school who has a restraining order against his father.  Knowing that back story, I would say a lot worse to anyone in his family who tried to get them to spend time together...

    Yes, please! Any of them. All of them. ALL THE WINES. 

    The early update is that DH's BM, who used to live in Florida, is coming home tomorrow (as in moving home), so DH now wants to cut seeing his fam short to go out to dinner and get drinks with the BM, whom we haven't seen since October, a plan which I am ALL ABOUT. His grandmother is not a fan, but NMP.

    @kmmssg, Oh, you know it! The latest round, as I posted in another thread elsewhere today, is that she essentially wants us to have a PPD at HER church with HER friends so THEY can see us get married and so it will be "real."

    I told her it wasn't ever going to happen and to stop nagging, DH told her that it would happen when Hell froze over.

    DH bought a 1.5L bottle of wine for this weekend's shindig. I looked at it and said, "Well, that's (barely) enough for me, but what are you bringing for the rest of your family? Because I'm not sharing."
    Don't forget....I'm waiting for the replay of how today went.  What kind of cookies would  you like?

    A gift is a gift. Just say thank you. It does not matter the price. Wow! This might be my 10 year old self showering through but expecting a gift is rude.
