Before I even opened the thread, I was thinking exactly this. A nice vacation--and if I could pick--it'd be in Italy.

If I'm going to be thinking more practically--a house, a supply of money so I could be a SAHM, or something like that.

But really--I want to go to Italy!

Tip for you guys- are you good with credit and finances? I pay for EVERYTHING under the sun on my rewards credit card and I pay the full balance each month. I'm saving my rewards points actually for a trip to Rome & Paris. It's been 2.5 years I already have $1500 in rewards towards the trip! Obviously it won't pay for the whole trip for both FI and I but it sure will help! But I only recommend doing this if you are good with money and 100% confident that you can trust yourself to pay the balance in full each month. But if you have to pay for things regardless, why not get rewards for it?!

Just one thing? If we're going completely selfish, I want a vacation to clear blue waters, fruity drinks, white sand and 85 degrees.

If I'm being logical and sensible I want to pay off all my debts - 45k student loans, 8k credit card debt, 90k mortgage...

If I'm being altruistic, I want my fiance to wake up Christmas morning and be healthy. He has had a huge series of medical problems starting with a phantom brain tumor that led to permanent vision loss and now multiple hernias that have completely destroyed his stomach wall and can only be fixed with two surgery's in the next few years.

My not even 6 year old dog to not have terminal cancer and only a month or two to live. That's all I want. He's my child.

Yeah, I have some bad credit card debt still, and H has a little, so I don't think we trust ourselves to be able to use credit cards and pay the balance every month. Maybe one day!

Sorry to all those who have lost loved ones.

I imagine that would be number one on my list too in that case.

My loan payments are about 1k each month. That is more then my parents pay on their mortgage. It was very, very stressful until last May when I got job that was able to support me. And it still is at times.

Cleaning out my late mother's senior apartment was an eye-opener! How could anyone have so much crap? I don't need any more stuff. I would rather have an airplane ticket to go visit my grandchild.

I would like a full-time attorney job with healthcare and retirement benefits. I've been doing contract work for almost a year now. It pays the bills (barely) but we can't make any real plans because we never know when I'll be unemployed again.

I'd like to wake up 70 lbs lighter.

I'd like a place to live that isn't a 1 bedroom apartment that FI, DD, and I all share.

I'd like to pay off our combined $300K in student loans.

Also a keurig.
