It really wasn't that much of a drama thread- OP booked a venue ~8 hours away from where most of her family and guests live that has a strict no child policy and asked if we thought getting a sitter for the kids would be a good idea. People pointed out that some parents may not be ok with a stranger watching their children, even if that person was certified and cleared for child care.

Then we find out that OP has nieces and nephews in the wedding party and we were like, ok so what are you going to do about them if their parents don't want them to be baby sat by a stranger? People suggested not having them in the WP and not inviting kids to the wedding at all. OP says that she doesn't really want to have them in the WP, but that her family insists and she feels she has to have them since this is "the only input" the families have in the wedding.

Blah blah blah from there.

I wasn't trying to be all drama re-hashy. I just know I posted in this thread and it's not letting me go back and see what was posted after me. I really never understood the point of deleting posts just because you don't agree with what everyone says in reply.

OP - You realize it makes absolutely no sense to delete when you've been quoted. You are just drawing more people to this post!

That said, I hope you realize how awful you sounded to care more about the venue than the kids in your wedding party. If you didn't want kids in the ceremony, you should've stood up for yourself and said no. You're an adult, for cryin' out loud.
