  I'm recovering from Bunco last night.  I haven't laughed that hard in a looooooong time.  For some reason there was a laundry basket of rattley toys in our bedroom.  I didn't know it was there and tripped over it which scared the bejeesus out of DH.  Oops. 

  The cabinet order goes in today (we were waiting to see what freebies were coming out).  I'm going to attempt Lowe's during preschool to look at lighting, hardware, and dishwashers.  I've never bought a dishwasher.  Did you know some of them don't have heated dry?  We have far too many dirty dishes for that noise.

  This weekend DH has a 3 day.  We're hitting a granite store Saturday and maybe a remodel expo.  We need to find someone to do the footers for the addition.

  I woke up a little down.  DH's company did their vacation bids yesterday and we ended up with our 4th choice out of 4.  It was a bit of a bummer but then we realized we actually can't travel during that week because of Son's baseball schedule.  Now we have no vacation plans and our original trip is out the window.

  
  

  He's going to look at the vacation schedule and see what's available for switching weeks.  We might end up with a couple long weekends.  FWP, right?

  
  

  It's supposed to snow today but nothing crazy.

  I hate that Taw. I feel your pain.  Can he go on a wait list for any of the dates? 

  
  

  I am glad we can wait list time off at my job.  They often make adjustments based on real time numbers and allow more people to be off if the rest of the work load can be supported.

  He can either pick an open week that works better for us or try to trade with someone.  He can also try to wait it out and see if something opens up (if someone changes their mind), but there's no list or anything.

  
  

  It was so easy to get vacation last year because it was September and no one wants to wait that long to take vacation.  September doesn't work for us this year, unfortunately.

  My mood is mildly improved, my head is greatly improved, the Mr. is slightly improved and all I want to do is crawl under my desk and nap.

  (which I'm not doing.  It's nt yet 9 am and I've already double checked a spreadsheet for errors, created an invoice [which is a bigger deal than it should be] and dealt w/ all of my employees time sheets.  gold star for me)

  @6fsn, indulge and get one with the garbage disposal in it too.  Makes cleaning so much easier.

  
  

  I've got a list of things to get taken care of and the goal of getting it taken care of by Sunday.  I think most of it is possible, not all of it is really necessary, but it'll take a load off my mind.  I'm also going to have to have a come-to-Jesus moment with some peeps.

  
  

  I'm glad this week is almost over.  It's been a good one, but I'm wearing out.  I'm trying to shift some things so I don't get burnt out already.

  Another day at work. "Cold" weather, at least for us. Meeting with our venue coordinator today. FI is still pushing for cheese fondue as an app during cocktail hour. He also wants wine and beer. I'm going to ask the coordinator to run the numbers based on this, and help him see that we can't afford all his "wants" from an unbiased source.

  Outwardly, quiet professional. Internally, I'm a mash up of ET and Macullay Culkin in Home Alone running around, arms waving in the air, screaming my head off.

  It's kinda cold here (not polar vortex cold, thank god), there's flurries but I didn't see anything about accumulation.

  This is my first 5 day workweek since coming back from leave.  It sucks.  It was so hard to leave this morning.  After the baby was done nursing this morning, he pulled back and just smiled at me.  So I spent 5 minutes just having a happy smiley baby on my lap. 

  Work's apparently really slow right now so I'm taking my full 30 minutes for my pump breaks and reading.  Why not?

  Morning. We're doing okay over here. I'm trying to get DD to sleep just a bit longer at night (Mama wants to stop waking up every 3-4 hours) and soothe herself to sleep. Right now when I put her down to sleep, she has to be conked out otherwise she starts fussing. Fun times! I'm looking forward to this weekend. I need the 3 day weekend to decompress from my first full week back.
