Following up on OP...you ladies are going to snort your Starbucks through your nose after you get through this one...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  ETA: hey my quotes are working again!

I just about died!  Especially at hand turkeys and throwing mason jars.

Sadly, the suggested lists right after that one is "13 Unconventional Registry Ideas for the Modern Wedding."  I bet you know where this is going.  It includes a Honeyfund, crowdsourcing, contributing to a house downpayment, college funds and charitable contributions.

Starbucks and mimosa bars are both just glorious in my opinion. Obviously the need to instagram a pic of my 'SBucks' on my wedding day will not be on my to do list.

I'm still having mason jars and don't care if it's 'Pinteresty' or trendy. They are a part of my life every year with my mom and grandma.

Silver lining: Instead of having a bunch of vases to get rid of I'll be using them to can pickles and jams with two favorite ladies. My mom and grandma have made pickles, apple butter, pepper jelly, strawberry preserves, pear preserves, and a ton of other yummy things since before I was born. No wasted money in that department for us!

I'd like to know what happened to the flower girl...her Frappuccino got hijacked by the MOH...

(ETA: Also, why does "Bridesmaid #1" have two drinks? And how does one rank their bridesmaids anyway?)

    I was thinking that too!!

  • I didn't have a single one of these on my wedding day, and it was still a fantastic day!  Man I wish I owned stock in the wedding industry, things are getting more and more out of hand.

I love the idea of champagne being present, but why the cutesy set up?

    Facepalm.

But take heart-- the comments all pretty much say, these ideas are rude!  My faith in humanity has been (partially) restored.

  • Ok, am I the only one who thinks maybe drinking a giant, sugary coffee right before getting into a dress that is often very difficult to use the bathroom in isn't the best idea ever?  I like starbucks on any other day, but between coffee being a laxative, and that giant amount of sugar causing stomachaches, I probably wouldn't want to drink it right before getting ready.

But I do like the mimosa bar.  I'll keep that in mind.

  • How come bridesmaid 1 gets 2 drinks?

She was the primary brideslave and was required to stay up all night with the bride, keeping her pillows and blankets perfectly smooth so she wouldn't get any crease lines on her face.
