NWR: What's your favorite thing your fur baby does?

My parrot peeps when she's happy.  The moment you put a food she likes in front of her, or put her on a windowsill with a view she likes, she peeps up a storm.  She also goes up the stairs (She can't fly so she hops up each step individually) to go into my bedroom and look for me on mornings when I'm either not home or just take too long to go downstairs and get her.  She also rolls onto her back when she's playing.
What are the cutest/funniest things your fur babies do?  And please post pics!  Animals are always fun to look at.

  • This reminds me of Blue from Rio lol so cute!

I had a rabbit when I was younger that would play tag with me lol he would follow me, step on my foot and take off, then I would tag his back and take off and he would follow me. We would do this for hours lol

  • My cat Maggie loves when I go to bed.  She`ll run in front of me to get to the bed first and then once I get in, she crawls on top of me and lies half on my pillow and half on my neck/chest.  She's such a sweetheart and it's like a bonding thing.
My other cat Cali likes to come up and meow to ask/demand for attention.  Then if you aren't petting her enough or just stop, she'll headbutt/hug you.

My fur baby is gone now (we had to put her down at 17 a couple of months ago), but I loved how nosy she was, and a total girly girl and drama queen.

Shopping bags were her favourite, and she'd stick half of her body in just to see what you got. She also loved to tan and would take up your whole towel if you weren't careful -- you actually had to force her out of the sun to get a drink!

She liked to fake/exaggerate injuries for attention, too. My fave was the time she hurt her leg for half a second, and then 2 hours later when my mum got home, she started limping again... To the point where she was walking against the wall, using it to hold herself up as she held the leg off of the ground! Then my dad looked at her and said, "hey -- that's the wrong leg!" and she glared at him, put her foot down, and walked away without any issues haha

Here are some photos of her (I love the one where she's oblivious to the feather on her nose haha). I miss her so much.

  • My cat is literally like my shadow when I get home from work. She will follow me everywhere until I pick her up and give her some cuddles. She also follows me to bed and sleeps on FI's pillow until he comes up to sleep and then she moves to my side.

  • Rocky used to go to the bedroom door when he was ready for bed. If it was closed, he would come find me and whine at me to open it. Then he would come find me and whine at me to tell me I needed to go with him. He would follow me around the house until I went to bed, just looking at me the whole time like "mom, it's bedtime! Come on mom!"

He also would lay his paws across the line between tiles that separated the kitchen from the living room. He wasn't allowed in the kitchen, but if I was in there, he would lay down right on that line. He never could bear to be away from me. I'm going to miss him.
  • My fur baby who passed last week used to sit on the side of the tub and wait for me to get out of the shower. He would occasionally poke his head and meow at me to hurry up. I miss him doing that. My other fur baby Callie makes littles noises all the time. From loud angry meows to happy little murmurs she always has something to say.
  • Every day when I get home from work Kitty (aka Fatty, Stinky, Creepy) hears the garage door open and she runs down the basement steps to greet me as I come in from the garage. And this annoys me but every time I'm on the toilet she literally BURSTS into the bathroom so the door flies wide open and of course I can't reach it from the toilet so it remains open. It can never been a slow, sneak the door open a crack, oh no, always barrels into the door. I'm like thanks A-hole LOL. (trying to attach pic but don't know if it's loading)

  • Kenshi is a living stuffed animal. He just wants to cuddle. And you can seriously hug him or hold him anyway you want and he will purr for hours.

Me, Alex, Zoey (Furbaby). I love how she is ALWAYS cuddled under a blanket (or pillow if no blanket is available) and her sleep spot is behind my knees.

  • My puppy, Charlie, loves to be held like a baby. He is still a baby so he can be crazy at times, running all over the house, but as soon as you pick him up and hold him on his back, he calms down and could stay there for hours.  He also likes to sit on his back on your lap so that when you are sitting in a chair, he is sitting in the same position as you just watching what everyone else is doing.  And if you put him in the car, he likes to sit on the center console so he can see out the window. Which is obviously dangerous, he just likes to be involved in everything

He also sticks his tongue out when he's done eating. It's seriously hilarious!
  • My Peanut will go and wait at the door for FI to get home from work, but only when she hears the car. Then she sits there like "hey man, I've been waiting here all day, what took you so long?" It's adorable.

She also comes running from wherever she is any time the fridge gets opened, or the kettle gets switched on (kettle = tea = milk). Seriously, she can be dead asleep under the bed in the FILs room which is the furthest point in the house, and she will be in the kitchen with you in less than 2 seconds.

  • So many things! I can't decide, but one of the funniest things she does is play hide and seek. I'll hide (but somewhere where I know she can see me a little bit) and she seeks. I'll hide around a corner and she'll slowly creep up. Then, at the last minute, we both jump out at each other and she sometimes does this move I call " the flying squirrel" where she jumps in the air and spread eagles and basically looks like a flying squirrel. Then I run to a new hiding spot and we do it again. FI has started playing, too!
  • I love when my cat is sitting on the coffee table and I walk by her, she'll reach her little paw out to tap me like, "Hey. Pet me!"  I also love when she bumps her head into my face and just leaves it there.  When she does that, I rub the top of her head with my chin and she loves it. She's weird.

I love how excited our dog gets when he sees FI. He gets excited when he sees me, but when FI comes home, its like a party. He's clearly the favorite.  He's an English Bulldog and just has this little corkscrew tail thats really tight.  We call it his curlycue. When he gets excited he tries his hardest to wiggle it. Its adorable.

  • My furbaby Mac loves to follow me around my small one bedroom apartment. When I am in the living room, he's there. When I get up to go to the bathroom, he lays in front of the bathroom door. When I am in my bedroom, he lays in his cat bed. As soon as I walk out of the room, he will follow me to the next room. It's really cute.
  • My kitty Tango plays "tunnels" he jumps on the bed real quick and burrows his head/body in the covers and then waits to "attack" we go back and forth scaring eachother and "pouncing" at eachother. sometimes he scares me because I don't know he wants to play and then out of nowhere he jumps out and taps my leg like "hey let's play!"
  • My kitty Kapuchee is obsessed with straws. He plays catch with them lol. Pesto is really fancy and loves to sunbathe. They also have no sense of personal space because they will just lie all over us when they please and expect to be rubbed and pet. They also love each other and it's really cute when they cuddle up. The first pic is of Kapuchee last night just curling up on my arm, a pic of the 2 of them probably plotting world destruction, a Pesto Selfie when he decided to lay on my face, chilling in their cat condo, and bonus pic: Kapuchee laying on the brand new leopard print comforter set I surprised FI with one day LOL.

Oh, also Kapuchee does this little sound that sounds like a pigeon purr. So when I come home from work he jumps up on the dining table, does his pigeon purr and nuzzles me. He loves hanging at the top of his cat tree so when I go in the other bedroom he will pigeon purr at me as if to say "Hi"

  • My beagle Ellah talks to me all the time. She changes her voice based on what she's trying to tell me.  When the Roomba pushes her ball under the couch, she crouches down with her butt up in the air and does this baby bark until I help her get it.  It's so cute.  My new fur baby, a wheaten terrier, (FI's dog) when she plays she bounces like a bunny.  Her tail was docked when he got her from the pound so when she's fluffy for winter she looks like a bunny!  So cute.

  • My 1 yr old siberian husky Nikolai (Niko for short) is such a love. We're trying to break him of jumping on people, but if you kneel down he puts his legs on your shoulders for tummy rubs. If you throw his bunny down the hall he goes tearing off after it, but goes too fast and can't grab it on the way back so he keeps running back and forth... having way too much fun to slow down and just pick it up haha. He does lots of other adorable things as well... he has a favorite one of our friends, will not leave my sister alone if she's over (she's the only one he can't get enough of), hates our only redheaded friend with a passion... oh and if he gets on the couch with us and we start petting him, it's way too much and he leaves. Goofy dog <3
  • Yay, I'm not the only bird owner!

I have a parakeet, Loki. He's a huge weirdo. His favorite things to talk to and cuddle with are:

My laptop, my phone, my Macbook charger, my partner's phone, my partner's laptop, my partner's glasses, my old smartphone that is now a bird toy, table legs, watches, our engagement rings, and ... tweezers.

  • @phira Toot is all over my laptop and charger too!  Not so much my phone though, no buttons to play with on it since it's a touch screen.  She also likes glasses and masks etc, when she perches on my shoulder if I am wearing glasses, she chews on them and usually ends up pulling them off my face.  I also sleep with an eye mask and in the morning when I kinda use it as a headband, she likes to pull that down over my eyes.

  • When my cat was a kitten she would suckle my finger. Now she just licks and nibbles them while purring uncontrollably!

  • I have a rescue dog her name is Bella and it appears she was raised with cat because she acts like one all the time. The cutest thing she does is she licks her paws and then passes them over her ears (like cats do) but then she falls on her side and starts playing.

  • We have two ferrets. I love it when they do their weasel war dance, but they are pretty darn cute when they're sleeping too.

  • Pumpkin, was your baby girl a Jack Russell? She reminds me of my Maddy Mae (Mae because she's nosey like an old lady).

Miss Maddy is clueless that she's a dog. She likes to sit on her bum with her back against the couch, like a person. It's too funny. She also loves to cuddle under the blankets, so if you don't lift them up for her to go in, she'll pat you with her paw.

I love this topic! Pets are absolutely amazing. The unconditional love they have for their 'people' is one of the best things in the world.
