What have you done so far?

Being that FI and I are coming up on our pre-anniversary this week I've been thinking about what planning I need to get a move on. What have you and FI booked/planned for the wedding already?

So far we have:

Venue(ceremony, reception, & lodging all-in-one)
Photographer booked & engagement session scheduled
Florist booked
Catering appointment this Sunday
Bridesmaid dresses(nothing bought but I know the color/fabric/designer and each girl will pick her own style)

Dress (I was a Randy to the Rescue bride, so I did that back in April)

Venue (ceremony/reception/catering/cake)

Photographer

Videographer

DJ

Day-of coordinator

Hair/makeup artist

We aren't having a wedding party, so I didn't need to do bridesmaid dresses. I might try to do my own flowers, so I didn't book a florist.

Venue...florist, decor, cake and all food is part of my venue rate so I have nothing else to worry about there besides showing them pictures of what we hope to have. Chuch DJ Photographer and epics WP colors picked out, girls need to decide on a dress. RD space being looked at tomorrow Invites done Save the dates ordered, just need to practice fake calligraphy Centerpiece mockup done Table number mockup done Menu picked out. Shoes Dress to arrive this wk...wooohooo!!!

Photographer is booked and engagement photos are taken
Dress is bought
Bridesmaid dresses are selected
Invitations are designed
Save The Dates are bought and addressed

Shut the front door! I just searched Randy to the Rescue and I'm surprised that I didn't know about this show; I'm a huge Say Yes fan and love Randy! How was that experience? I'd love to hear all about it :-)

Dang girl, kudos, you are on it! I've gotten a bunch of invitation samples but figured we wouldn't even decide on that until January. Now I definitely feel like I need to get a move on things!

havent booked we have a few decisions to make for vegas venue. flowers im using calla lilly and BM and groom and groomsman will use what venue offers. most use roses and dont like them.

Wedding colors check- dark purp and sage green
Wedding date- july 27 2013
Placecard holders- stained birdhouses (DONE)
STDs- las vegas luggage tags and a magnet(not bought yet)
Invitations- Brooklyn bridge look (where FI from and where may get married)(not bought yet)
Veil- Done
Binders- organized and done
Bridesmaids- sign (FRIENDS) stained and word friends painted green

When i say done i mean the girl thats doing them sent me the mockup and we gave her a final count..etc. i dont have them stamped, stuffed or anything like that.

DJ chosen (signing contract and sending deposit soon)

my dress purchased and stored at my mom's house

bridesmaid's dresses picked out (i've asked them to go and buy them as soon as they have the monies to do so)

save the dates are designed and have made a few supply purchases - will print and mail soon

invitation mock up designed (I have a long way to go on this one)

have started buying vases for my centerpieces

bridesmaid's gift's purchased

I think that's it for now. I've been doing a little planning here and there, I'm sure it's going to get kicked into high hear soon.

This weekend, my aunt, cousin/flowergirl, mom and sister/maid of honor are coming and I'm going to show them around my new town! We're going to take a quick visit to the bridal salon to try on bridesmaid/flowergirl dresses, but not necessarily to order. The flowergirl will grow so much between now and the wedding, I know it won't be worth it yet (plus, we haven't asked our other flowergirl yet - FI's job since it's his cousin!) and I have to check with my other two bridesmaids before we make any big decisions regarding those. This is more of trip for ideas/fun. So excited!

I have: FSD's BM dress Hand-tied BM bouquet mock up Cascading bridal bouquet mock up Pomander mock up Chair sashes for ceremony chairs Shepherd hooks for pomanders Petticoat Wire decorative cage for cards Started but incomplete - two pairs of shoes I'm considering, materials for favor bags, pattern and fabric for gown, two hair clips from FMIL, I might change one to a comb and I might attach the other to the bodice.

I feel really behind after reading everyone else's posts!

We have:

Ceremony & Reception venue booked
Flowers are included at venue
DJ contract is arriving in the mail
Engagement Pics were taken in April by a friend
Have bought things here and there for DIY projects

Next on the list is photographer and officiant. I wasn't planning on tackling STDs for another couple months but it seems like most people are doing it much earlier.

EDIT: Also I tried on dresses once but didn't make any decisions. I'm checking out another salon this weekend. I know the colors we're doing: purple and orange. BM dresses will be purple chiffon short dresses since it will be hot and in NJ!

Flowers and wedding colors picked just fine tuning exactly what I want
Baker picked and date set to meet with

I am going to try and get FI to draw up what we want for flowers and for our cake this weekend

I think that's itfor now but it is a constant work in progress! I am so excited!

Holy ladies on top of it! Good job all!

We are currently living with his parents since we just moved away from our college town. So I don't want to take over their house with too much DIY. Plus his brother's wedding is in a couple weeks, so much of everyone's focus (including mine) has been on that.

We have done:

-Venue, reception/ceremony/lodging all in one, plus they take care of catering and rentals.

-Photographer, and e-pics

-Save the dates (won free on a contest)

honestly, that's it, but I already know what I want to do DIY as what most everything will look like. I also plan on doing our own flowers/centerpieces. I am shopping for my dress late next month, and we will start getting the rest of our vendors later this year. This winter, when I'm going stir-crazy from the weather, I'll do a bunch of my DIY list.
