My FMIL has graciously offered to host our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding. At her request, we will be inviting the wedding party and our families, including aunts, uncles, and cousins, to the dinner (and their guests). Since nearly everyone who will be invited to the rehearsal dinner will be coming in from out of town and our wedding is late enough in the day that some of them might not come in until the day of the wedding, we plan to include an invitation to the rehearsal dinner as an insert with the wedding invitation, for those who will also be invited to it. How should we word the invitation? My FMIL is remarried, so her last name is not the same as FI's. The dinner will be buffet style, so we do not need to inquire about people's menu choices.
I was thinking something like:
Jane Smith, mother of the groom,
invites you to join us for the
Rehearsal Dinner
