You guys, it's Friday! This week has flown by so fast (since I had Monday off).

What are your plans for this weekend?

After work, I'm going back up to Alfred Angelo to try my favorite dress on again, I'm thinking I made up my mind!!!! I'm so excited!!!

Saturday I have to close my old bank account and deposit that money to my new bank account (what a pain in the ass). FI and I are going to Hobby Lobby for wedding stuff, then Home Depot for house stuff and finally we're going to Bed Bath and Beyond to officially do our registry! I started it due to FMIL's request but I only put like 3 things on there since we've had 0 time to do this. We don't have a ton of stuff to get, our priority stuff is new everyday dinnerware so that's on the top of the list.

Sunday I'll be doing laundry (boring).

Tonight I'm going to stop at David's Bridal on my way home from work look at veils. Order shawls for my bridesmaids. Then relaxing with FI.

Tomorrow I've rehearsal in the morning then off to our reception site for our tasting! I can't wait for that. Then probably some house cleaning and all.

Sunday I've got rehearsal all day, not sure what else is going on other than may be some grocery shopping and some laundry.

@buddysmom80 I loved registering! We did Bed Bath & Beyond as well, and we did Sur La Table.

@buddysmom80 I hope you have fun tonight with the (hopefully THE) dress! Your weekend sounds a lot like mine.

I'm working from home today. I bought a Groupon a couple weeks ago for 10 yoga/pilates/hot yoga classes at a local studio so I'm going to my first pilates class in over a year today. I'm probably going to suck a lot but I know I'm going to feel amazing afterwards. I wanted to go out tonight but depending on how his doctor's appt goes, FI may be back on meds so he won't be able to drink. Just seems unfair to go to a pub with him if he can't even have a beer so we'll probably stay in. Our lives are so exciting.

Tomorrow I want to get up early and murder trim our crepe myrtles. Then we might go do some registry stuff. I signed up for a Sip and Scan event at Macy's but FI is on call this weekend so he may have to work/. We'll see if we actually get to go or not. If we do go, we'll also go do some registering at Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn.

Sunday is dress shopping day with my mom and @southernpeach89! I have appointments set at three salons. I've got two or three dresses lined up at each salon that I want to show them for sure although I guess I'm still open to other options. I'm really hoping we find my dress this weekend. I think I have some really amazing possibilities lined up but I haven't been able to commit to one yet. I think trying on my favorites all in one day and seeing them all with a fresh perspective will help me to make a final decision.

Tomorrow I'll weigh in at my diet place...then I'm going for a walk in the morning with one of my girlfriends. Then heading home to get my house sparkling as we are having a dinner party Saturday night. Haven'd figured out what i'm making yet, but hopefully i'll get that decided today so I can hit the grocery tonight.

Sunday will hopefully be relaxing. Just laundry, maybe H and I will take Remi to the dog park. I'd like to get a couple x-mas gifts exchanged now that the stores aren't so crowded. Hopefully finish up my current book - The Scorch Trials. (2nd book in the Maze Runner series)

I am at work, trying not to burst into tears because my stupid raise was half of what I thought. it'll cover the mortgage difference and the raise in our health insurance. I just can't get ahead. and it makes me so angry to see people talking about how federal workers are overpaid and don't do anything. I haven't had a REAL raise (like, more than 1%) or a chance in a raise in grade (from a stupid G to a not-quite-as-stupid H) in the 5 years I've been here. I am so angry right now. and so disappointed. my workforce group has practically been halved because of people leaving/dying/retiring and they STILL SAY they can't hire anyone or do promotions. so we are working on twice as many projects with NO BACK-UP and they can't hire or open a higher grade for some of us.

what in heck do they plan on doing when the rest of us start leaving? the group will basically shut down. if we lose ONE MORE PERSON, it will seriously be a disaster.

I have saved up almost all my sick leave because we don't get maternity leave, and I only have 7 weeks. that's in FIVE YEARS. and at most, I earn 13 days a year of sick leave, which is NOTHING when you need it to take maternity leave.

we're not allowed to have bonuses or awards or even stupid changes in job description (which would help me get a better job somewhere else).

federal workers do not have it easy, like so many people think we do. I COULD STOMP ON THE FACE OF PEOPLE RIGHT NOW, RAWRRRRRRRRR!!!!

my boss STILL hasn't had our end of year review, which was freaking due on 12/31/2013, so I could at least bring up my concerns. once I calm down, I'm marching in there and having a chat.

I am the ONLY one here in my group under 30. heck, even under 40, really. my group (ahem, managers) need to shape up or they are not going to have young people working here... so in another 5 years when all these old people retire (who still work with Natural and COBOL) THERE WILL NOT BE ANY YOUNG TALENT HERE TO TAKE OVER.

I am so angry!! my boss KNOWS that my H and I are on a strict budget and are paying off big student loans early so we can have (actually, adopt, but she doesn't know that) a baby next year. everyone knows. she knows that I don't buy new clothes and I don't go out to eat and I bring my lunch every day so we can pay these off. AND SHE COMPLAINS THAT SHE DOESN'T WANT TO SPEND MUCH MONEY ON HER DAUGHTER FOR CHRISTMAS SO SHE ONLY BOUGHT HER NEW TELECOMMUNICATIONS PRODUCTS AND MICHAEL KORS BOOTS AND ALL KINDS OF OTHER CRAP BECAUSE IT'S NOT TOO EXPENSIVE.

anyway. H and I were planning on going rock climbing this afternoon, but it's currently 6 degrees and feels like -1,000,000 and I just found out the place isn't climate controlled. so now I'm looking to see what the prices are on the indoor adult trampoline place. I need some serious physical therapy something to get all this frustration out of me.

I also need to clean the house (for some reason, it's always messy-ish on Fridays!), grocery shop, blah blah blah.

just BLAH.

@buddysmom80, I need lots of cute WR stuff posted from you to get me out of my funk!

ETA: I am also a little sad because half my FB friends (not really, but a large chunk) have announced pregnancies lately. if it weren't for these stupid student loans we would have our own little baby Coco. I love my H, but I hate his loans. WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH. pity party, table of 1, here.

Saturday - I'm supposed to go to a baby shower but the weather is going to be iffy. FI is supposed to come home on Saturday from his training class, but now the weather is going to be iffy so I'm HOPING he doesn't get delayed!!!!

Sunday - Nessie goes to the groomers, so I'll sit home with Loki while she's there. There's a free bridal show at the mall, I'd like to go to it, but I so hate crowds. I guess it depends on when Nessie's done and how bad the weather is.

This Friday is not starting off so well. Upon arriving to work I was reminded that we're getting our pictures taken for the company website today - totally forgot. On a whim I did full face makeup this morning instead of my usual 2-minute routine and tried to straighten up my hair, but I still feel super self-conscious in my lazy Friday sweater. I have a feeling today will get better from here. Just going to stay in tonight, relax, and maybe run some errands.

Tomorrow night I'm going to get all dressed up and go to my favorite restaurant with BF. Last night I went shopping for something to wear and didn't find anything, so I'll be trying on everything in my closet for something that will work.

Sunday is my BIRTHDAY YAY! Going out to lunch with some friends after church. There's a cute little restaurant next to Piedmont Park that serves "totchos" - basically tater tots with delicious toppings. And I am going to eat all of them.

@Dignity - my boss and her boss and the freaking head of the entire center are women. my boss just doesn't care to champion for anyone. she's too busy sending her children to crazy expensive live-on-campus science and math schools and trying to get her daughter into an ivy league university to care about anyone else.

Tonight, H and I have a Devils game. I haven't been in a while so I'm actually looking forward to going.

Tomorrow I have to make a trip to the post office to mail out a special something for a special someone. Then, I'm spending the rest of the day cleaning. H's friend and his wife (who has become one of my very good friends) are coming up to stay over for a couple nights and we'll probably drink a little and hang out at home.

On Sunday, the 4 of us will be up early and heading to Yankee Stadium for the Devils/Rangers Stadium Series game! It's going to be cold as fuck but I'm really, really, REALLY excited for it! There will quite a bit of beer involved in my day as well.

I'm so glad this week is over and it's Friday. Tonight H and I are going to CrossFit and relaxing at home. Hopefully we will get around to picking out the pictures from the wedding we want to frame.

Saturday is really busy for us! H is participating in his first CrossFit competition which starts around 8:00a.m. That goes all day so I probably won't stay the whole time since I need to do some dusting and clean our kitchen. I'm also going to make some homemade salsa since tomorrow night I'm hanging out with a couple of my girlfriends for Girl's Night. H will probably get dinner with one of his buddies.

Sunday is our first Sunday at a new potential church. I'm not excited about it because I know it's not going to be anything like our old church. I already mentioned this to H but he has heard good things about it from his coworkers but I don't believe them. I've been to a similar one in high school and it's not something that I remember loving. Then...I'm finally going dress shopping with @lmhollister who has neglected to bring me with her the past 10000 times she has gone! Hopefully I will get to see her in the dress she picks as the ONE!

@lalalaurita Happy early birthday! I learned about a really awesome pub the other night that I want to try. Have you ever been? It's called The Porter Beer Bar and it's right in Little Five! I just booked a day for our engagement photos and I totally planned our location to be within a few miles of this place so FI and I can go for drinks afterwards.l

@CocoBellaF Vent away! I don't think there's anything I can say to make it better but at least you KNOW you're doing all the right things to get you and your H to the financial position you want to be in. I really believe that even when things aren't happening the way you want them to that if you stick with your plan that it will all eventually fall in to place. It can take time and effort and lot of tears but it will happen!

@CocoBellaF - I'm so sorry your raise wasn't what you were expecting. I completely understand the feeling of never being able to get ahead...only getting by. It is so frustrating when you feel like you can't move on with the things you want to do in your life because of debt. (and I know i'm not supposed to say this - but it's true for me too so here it goes - especially when it's not your debt). I keep trying to remind myself that this is going to take time, expecially since we've placed such high goals for ourselves. Imagine how great it's going to feel once we are both debt free though! Then we'll be able to start families and all without the financial stresses many other families have. Stay strong! I know you're one tough nut!! (And you're going to be an AMAZING mama whenever that time comes!!!)

@CocoBellaF- Thanks! The WOD tonight is a 1000meter row buy in and then we start 30-25-20-15 DU's, weighted sit-ups, weighted russian twists. It's going to be an ab day for sure. I don't know what the WOD is for the competition. I know there are 3 separate WODs that they have to do. H thinks he is going to get last place. He is very strong with lifting, push ups, and pull ups but his cardio isn't at an equal level. He will do better than he thinks though.

Tonight I'm doing laundry since I can't leave my apartment again in clean clothing. (Next place: in-residence laundry hookups. I keep saying this ...)

Tomorrow I'm going to the local sheet music store. I'm taking up a friend on an offer to play piano for funerals, so I need a couple books since I'm missing some key songs in my own repertoire. Also, I just have to look at any book entitled "What Can I Play For Funerals?" Then I'm heading to campus to find a practice room and closing myself in it for as many hours as I can stand. Bringing along my laptop to start a spreadsheet of songs and performance times. Lots of work to be done there.

Sunday I'm watching the Pro Bowl (yes I have shame). My brother and I have a bet on which team will win. I've won the Pro Bowl bet three years running. I don't think I'll win this year. I picked Team Rice before the draft (which I watched because I have shame) and I think honestly that Team Sanders is going to win this year.

Fit in around that, I have housework and knitting to do, and I should really take a look at that class from last semester, and I need to keep working on this sleep thing. I got 7 hours last night and I feel fantastic today!

@CocoBellaF - Huge hugs to you. You WILL get ahead. You are hard working, resourceful and smart. I know the current situation is tough (and that government jobs do, indeed, suck) but keep you head down and chip away at it. Is there any way you can switch jobs? I'm sure you've thought of that but you would be surprised what may be out there for you.

@lmhollister - Pilates scares me for some reason. I don't know why since I've never tried it. I hope it goes well today.

Today - Working a lot likely and going to workout (Bootcamp...and I'm sore already so it should be interesting). Then H and I will do our usually lounging around tonight.

Saturday - Possibly working while H relaxes at home. Going to get a dance class workout in for sure at some point. Then we have a fun house party to go to.

Sunday - Dance class workout again, walk with H and the dog and H and I are going shopping for some better winter clothes at Macy's. This winter has kicked our butts already and we are both ill-prepared.

Tonight is date night for me and FI. We're going out for dinner and then going to see The Wolf of Wall Street.

Tomorrow night my friend is coming into town so FI and I are hanging out with her. Not sure what we're doing yet.

Also, I filed my taxes today which means I can finally make a dress appointment to start looking for my wedding dress!! I'm using my tax check to pay for it

I'm so sorry that your raise wasn't what you truly deserved. I hope that trampolining tonight helps you feel much better (it sounds like it definitely would!).

Tonight I'm going to the gym with a friend. I have totally fallen off the wagon and eaten allllllll the fast food and cheesecake this week, so my butt needs some exercise.

Tomorrow I'm just studying and cleaning all day, then some of my college girlfriends are coming over in the evening. I guess I have to go grocery shopping so I have something to feed them, huh? I'm not super excited at the moment because I just want to hibernate, but I know I'll be glad to see them and have some fun and girl talk.

Sunday will be my last attempt at getting ahead for the semester. A few friends and I are meeting at school to get a headstart on this class's skill set, since our practice days during the semester are usually a hot mess where nothing gets accomplished. After that, my family is having a pizza and game night. Well be playing Cards Against Humanity for the first time, which I'm super excited for.

And then Monday, SCHOOL.

Unrelated, but I'm about to flip out at my mother. She is already talking about adopting another dog soon because she "wants something to take care of." Um, you weren't interest in doing the work with Maggie, so what is going to be different with any other dog, other than maybe less trouble with chewing and bite inhibition? I swear I was the only one who even tried to train and socialize the puppy, and then she gave it a half-hearted attempt after spoiling her like crazy and decided Maggie was just too much. I don't want to go through that again. A friend/co-worker of ours started trying to talk her out of it, thank God, but I'm just mad. Seriously, we already had to give up one puppy and that was horrible, and I feel like she's just setting herself up to do it again. With this issue and her constantly needing someone (usually me) there to be her friend and keep her company at all times, I feel like I've got a big kid to take care of on top of nursing school, and I just can't even be in the same room with her right now without feeling anxious and annoyed.

@severmilli12, I finally watched Blackfish last night. Just wow. After hearing the research that orcas have language and emotions, I just hate the idea of having them in captivity. A trained whale jumping up and touching a ball doesn't even begin to demonstrate how magnificent they are, and I just feel horrible that this is what becomes of whales in captivity. Heartbreaking.
