I booked with a florst because of their great reputation, and told them my budget was no more than $4k. She assured me that would be plenty for what I wanted (Bridal Bouquet, 6 bridesmaids, 10 corsages, and 20 tables of some high, some low center pieces). Notice I cut all church flowers. She is now telling me I need to spend 5k. What did your flower budget get you? Specifically, can I see your centerpieces?
Re: What should $4000 get me?
so helpful!
My florist made my bouquet, three BM bouquets, flower girl petals, two corsages, five boutonnieres, church flowers, Mary dedication bouquet, entry table flowers, and 16 low table centerpieces for $2,600. Mostly roses and lilies...I received a 20% discount off the total price for having an off-season wedding (in February). If you happen to be in NYC, the florist is Flowers By Brian and is terrific.
I didn't go into my florist and announce my budget though- I described what I wanted and we worked from there. With a dishonest or greedy florist, if you tell them what you can spend, they might charge you up to what they know you can pay. Her asking you to spend another $1,000 is just wrong!
Dream wedding flowers... gorgeous!
After the ceremony, they're taking the 10 aisle arrangements and putting them onto the tables as centerpieces and she's making 2 more for the other 2 tables.
I would say, ask if you can reuse aisle arrangements as centerpieces! There's no reason to pay for aisle flowers and centerpieces unless you want two completely different sets of flowers for them.
Our total for everything, including delivery and set up is $1200
