Wedding Woes

I feel like death

What's up for the weekend?

I came home from 6let's art show last night and I spiked a hell of a fever.  Well, I assume since we couldn't find the thermometer. I was curled on the floor under several blankets shivering like there was no tomorrow.  DH woke me up at 830 to go to bed.  The fever must have broken sometime last night, but today I feel like I got hit by a mac truck.  My lungs hurt, my arms are weak (or Max gained 10 lbs last night), my hips kill.  It's going to be a long day.

I think the only thing on this weekend is 6let having a little birthday party.

Re: I feel like death

  • I'm glad your fever broke.  I hope you feel better soon. You poor thing.

The kids have a half-day today.  WTF?  Haven't they had enough time off this winter?  But it is for teacher development and I know enough teachers to know that they need this time to do that stuff bceause they get so little time w/o the kids to do stuff unless they take it home or stay super late.

Tonight, we're going to my sister's for an Olympics opening ceremony party.  We're doing all sorts themed dishes and drinks.

Tomorrow, I have to work.  Boo.  The rest of the weekend we're just going to hang at home.

  • Tonight is the ol' Friday night Target run and then out to eat.

Tomorrow is a busy one.  It's Little League sign-up day and this year we'll have TWO playing.  Then we'll go to DD1's basketball game.

After that, we're off to my hometown/area for a dinner at my dad's favorite restaurant.  He retired on Jan 31 so I arranged for 26 of us to help him celebrate.  He is really looking forward to it.

Sunday we'll do groceries and get a few things done around the house.
  • I have a hair appt right after work and then meeting a friend for dinner. Nothing for Sat, yet.

  • I must have really scared DH.  He actually asked me to go to the doctor today.
  • Take the man's advice and go, 6.
  • Go to the doctor, 6.

I need to relax this weekend.  DH is working on a bike for a friend, but other than that, I don't think I have anything to do.  Maybe some grocery shopping.  I need to get my cooking mojo back, I'm really tired of eating out.  I'd really like to get outside and DO something.  I'm so so so so so so sick of cold and snow.
  • 6, I think your H is right about this - go.  Sounds like it might be the flu.

  • Another one for go to the doc

Today is WFH day, keeping my germs at home. Cranking up the Bob Marley and space heater for a little contrast to cold and dreary outside. Online training module I need to finish up today. That mofo takes close to a work day full of GCP/CFR reading. Which is DRYYYY stuff :P

Tonight, I haven't decided. Sat. is an early hair appt, we'll go get lunch out, then DH has a marathon meet in the afternoon...so DD and I will figure out something fun. Maybe a library trip. It'll be her first time there, she has her own
Library card, she's heard all about it in Curious George and Spot goes to the library :)

  • Second day at new job today, then a full weekend off, crazy! We are likely cleaning tomorrow, playing games on Sunday. Hopefully more sleep like last night, baby girl didn't wake up until 430 to eat, so I slept from 9 until then and feel so much better.
  • I called right when they opened and have a 415 appt.  He was thinking flu too.
  • I've a headache threatening to turn into a migraine.

All the tags on documents I made yesterday in review for litigation production didn't save/were lost. I get to redo them. (eff technology).

Mom's driving up today for the weekend (yay!)

Final dress fitting tonight, then dinner with FILs

Feeling grumpy towards FI's side of the family- 1) we invited his cousin and cousin's wife (specifically names them on invite) and RSVP comes back for cousin and his teenage son. 2) We invited FI's teenage years mentor (FI's also asked him to give a speech) and FI tells me last night this guy is coming, and is bringing his kid (despite the invite only being for him- divorced from his wife, there's shared custody though I don't know the details) 3) FI's dad, who has shown zero interest except to make 2 half assed suggestions (as if I didn't have that in mind/consider that, thanks for trying) is asking for a timeline of what the weekend events are going to be. I'd said twice before I'd be making one 2 weeks out (we are at 4 weeks- getting married March 8th) once I had final times confirmed on a few things. FI tells me last night his Dad won't shut up about it. I whipped together a tentative schedule of every damn thing, right down to when I'd be certain places decorating, getting hair done, when FI had to drag his ass out of bed, etc. (I think the only things I didn't put on there was me getting a brazillian wax- I'm not, but I thought about putting it in there for shits and giggles in my irritation) and sent it to him last night.

I think wedding stress is starting to get to me. Hopefully FFIL doesn't make too many ridiculous requests tonight at dinner.

  • 6-*throws hat in the ring for flu*  Youch, that is no fun.  And getting that headed off ASAP might shorten it, so I'm glad that you made an appt.

This weekend will hopefully be quiet.  H is working #3-5 of his 9 days straight, so that is good.  I will stay home, clean the house, read and do little things.  I am looking forward to hibernating.

I am on my 3rd try of getting together with my pregnant friend, and I'm sure tomorrow will be canceled again, as it's supposed to snow...AGAIN.  Ugh.  I don't care really about getting her a present for baby, I just want to see her face.  I might just tell her that I'll come in a few months after baby is born....because then we can catch up and I can meet the little one...I'll travel all the way to her instead of meeting in the middle.  Yes...we shall see.  She's a determined one though, who knows.

  • I'm tired. DD woke up several times last night because she was uncomfortable. But she was smily once I held her so that helped. Yesterday she gave her first laugh- it was her brother crying because one of the dogs licked him.

This weekend I am taking DS to a building workshop at Lowe's and we need to get stuff for his Valentine's Day party. Other than that we have no plans. DH is working my nerves lately (lack of sleep is part to blame) so I sort of want to get away from him. We'll see.
