I am getting married to my college sweetheart in July of 2014. I had my first dress fitting and to my usual disappointment my brest are too small so I have to super pad my chest and tape them together so it looks like my cheast fits in my dress. I am thinking about getting plastic surgery to finally have boobs (I am a 34B) but I can not make a descision and my futurn husband said that if I really want them done then get them but he loves my chest either way.

What shoud I do?

Instead of spending money on more boobs, spend money on a dress that makes it look like you have more boobs.

I agree with @Inkdancer. Or get those cutlet things for your dress. Or a water bra. There are a lot of different alternatives. A 34B is really not too small. I feel like surgery is an extreme measure to solve the problem of your wedding dress not fitting right.

I am not going to tell you to not get a boob job. I just want to make sure that you aren't just wanting the boob job to fill out your wedding dress, but rather that you have been seriously unhappy with your boobs for a long time and want to make yourself (no one else) happy by getting bigger boobs.

I think it is great that your husband supports whatever decision you make and that he thinks you are perfect the way you are.

So in the end this is a decision you have to make for yourself.

But you say you just had a fitting, so I am guessing your wedding is coming up. I don't think getting a boob job right before your wedding is a smart plan due to recovery time and the fact that it takes months for all the swelling to subside and your new boobs to finally look just right.

I have thought about getting breast enhancement surgery for may years. I am a 36B and I need cups for my dress as well. I would never get enhancement just to look like my bust is larger in my dress. I wouldn't want that sort of stress happening around my wedding. I think you should do some non-surgical enhancement for the wedding and then reconsider breast implants afterwards.

I'd just get cups sewn in or follow the other suggestions. I have a tiny chest myself but I'd rather keep it as it is and spend a fraction of the surgery amount on quality undergarments.

A breast lift/ boob job is definately in my future so I wont tell you not to get one. Its your choice. But I agree with others, it would be a lot less expensive to get another dress (even with rush delivery) than a boob job.

Have you been considerng this for awhile or only after you tried on your dress? Because its major surgery and you should be absolutely certain before you do it.

That's not too small. Granted I'm not even an A. I have to have special training bras made to fit me. Talk about no boobs!

If this is something you have wanted / been unhappy about for a while then that's your choice. But I agree with PP. Don't just do it for a dress or look you had pictured for your wedding.

You shouldn't get plastic surgery just to fit into a dress. If this is something you were already seriously considering before trying on this dress and you are just moving up the timeline to do it, then it may make sense. But you shouldn't do it just to fit into one dress that you will wear one day in your life. And there are a lot of alternatives. Like getting cups sewn into dress, super padded bras, push up bras, etc. I'm also am smaller chested, smaller than you even (34A), and I've considered "improvements" in that area before, but I'm not going to rush out and do it just to fit into one dress better.

In addition to every else's comments, 34B is still a really good size. I'm barely a 34A (32A in some brands) and I'd kill just for B's. Something else to consider is if you are already nicely proportioned or not. As much as I'd like B's or C's, with my petite frame I might look a little off-balance with a larger cup size.

I saw an episode of Say Yes where the woman had a boob job and all the dresses wouldn't fit her properly. So anyway, long rambling story short, get better alterations for your wedding dress and a push-up bra and look at surgery options later.

Well, it's your body, so it's your choice. However, while the ladies on here can be very insightful, I don't think an internet forum is where you should be looking to make a huge decision like getting surgery. I think you should think about this a lot, look up the surgery online, pros/cons price etc, if you still want it then speak to a doctor about what your options are etc.

But please don't let not fitting into your gown be the main reason you do this, they can take in the bust so it fits you.

I'm surprised you find 34 B too small. I was a B for quite a bit of my life and they seemed like a very nice size and I never had trouble making them fill something properly. (They went up to a C some years ago) But I guess it's about how you feel. Just manage your time with recovery and all

I am a triple D take some please. I would not get plastic surgery close to your wedding since you do not know how long you will take to heal properly. If you had been wanting a boob job for years go for it but I would just get the dress altered to fit your chest.

Have alterations sew push up cups into the dress - I had not one, not two but THREE sets sewn in in order to fill out the dress and lift me up. I'm a 34 A.

(i had to order a larger dress size for my hips, so the cups were larger already than I needed.)

I'm with @RebeccaB88! Growing up I was super flat. I was an A cup until I was about 20 or so and within a year I was up to a D, lol. Everytime I see people from High School everyone always asks me if I got a boob job.. nope! I would kill for smaller boobs sometimes.

This is totally your call, but if hubby is happy either way I'd save the money invest in a good bra or cutlets. Your family and friends love you for you, not the size of your chest.

I've had a boob job.
Well, it wasn't because I wanted more. I am a breast cancer survivor - stage 3+. I had a mastectomy on my right side, which included them taking all the lymph nodes in my right arm. (13 tested positive for cancer.) I had reconstruction surgery over a year. There is no nipple, but it looks great as long as I'm in my clothes or bathing suit. I have no feeling on my right side or arm. There is an implant, and it aches sometimes.
The left side was a saggy baggy mess. The surgeon reduced and lifted my left breast, leaving my nipple intact, so that it is equal to my right side. Most of the scars are underneath the breast. I left about 5 lbs. of flesh on the operating table. I have some feeling, but not anything like I did before the surgery. It still hurts occasionally after 4 years, but I am cancer free so far, and that is what is really important. It looks great with my bra on. Frankly, I didn't expect my nipple to point UP after surgery, but, oh, well.
Think long and hard before you put yourself through breast surgery just to look good in your wedding dress. It isn't worth it. I miss the sensations of my old breasts, even if they were too big. Some women have a bad reaction to the implants, and scar tissue can really make a mess of your body. Hollywood actresses go through it for their career, but I'm guessing that they wouldn't do it except for the money. Poor Pamela Sue Anderson has had a terrible time over the years.

Let me tell you about new boob job boobs, they are shiny and hard, and they are up to your collar bone swollen. They will slowly settle into place and the swelling will go down, but you have no idea how long it will take, or how they will heal. There is no way to tell exactly how they will settle. You have to do boob job exercises. If you don't, your boobs will look messed up. You will get this dress fit for swollen boobs up to your collar bone and then they will normalize and your dress doesn't fit again. So if you want a boob job, I suggest you wait.

PS. I am not allowed to wear underwire bras because of the danger that they might bother the scar tissue under my breasts, or that I couldn't feel it if the wire poked me in the arm.

I got a boob job when I was 21 b/c I wanted a more proportioned body. I have been very happy with them. I would not, however, have gotten one just to fill out my wedding dress.

I agree with PPs. I have nothing against PS (I will totally have some work done if I ever have the extra money) but it is a major surgery that takes time not only to heal from but to settle and to start looking more natural. You also really have to do your homework to decide what kind of procedure you want (under vs over muscle, saline vs gummy, etc) and to find a good surgeon, plus expensive.

If you're like 2 years out and you've been wanting them for a long time I'd consider it but otherwise it sounds like a big headache. With Bs you totally have something to work with that will look great with some good alterations and undergarments.

I have no opinion on PS. I know people who have enhanced and reduced and they all look and feel wonderful post recovery. I will say for your dress and bra you can have cups sewn in. My sister had 2 cups sewn on her dress and 1 cup sewn in her bra. Looking at pictures from her wedding, you couldn't tell she had the extra padding, it really just helped the dress not cave in at the chest, I knew she had it done. When we were trying on dresses for her, the chest on the dresses did cave in and that was with them pulling as tight as they could and than clamping them tighter.

I would vote for no boob job.

Again, like all PPs, surgery to "fit" into a dress is a bit drastic... I know it's easier said than done, and we're ALL guilty of it at some point, but loving your own body is going to make you feel better than a boob job, I think!

Also in agreement with PPs, having this surgery so close to your wedding might screw things up... recovery, swelling, even the potential "bad boob job" - gotta consider that as well!

PPs all had valid points. If you do decide to get implants, I suggest getting subfacial or subpectoral ones because they will look more natural and feel better to the touch.

I used to be a d cup. I had breast reduction surgery so I'm a c cup now. Really I hated having big boobs. I probably would have gotten mine a bit smaller but I was worried it would look odd.

I agree with most PPs in the sense that this is such a dramatic thing simply to fit into a dress.

Imagine if you had a complication? Blood clots, excessive swelling, infection, your body rejects the implant, etc etc. You have such a small window for the surgery, recovery, and planning a wedding. You don't have time for complications, but they're fairly likely to occur.

Surgery is HUGE. It's not something to decide on in a few weeks/months or by internet strangers (although I think PPs give you some great thinking points).

I had a reduction when I was 19 and they took off 6 lbs of boob

stupid boobs grew back.
