My FI and I ordered our invitations this weekend and I had a couple of questions regarding some wording on our invitation and response cards. While I trust the woman who worked with us, I'm curious about the general TK opinion on this.
At the bottom of our invitation, it says "Reception will follow ceremony". This just sounds...different? to me. I always thought it would be something like "Reception to follow" or something along those lines. Our reception location and ceremony location are the same address. The ceremony will be on the back lawn of the historic home we're hosting at and will move in to the interior of the home and the patio to the side of the home for the cocktail hour and dinner reception immediately following the ceremony.
On our response cards we chose to go with the following format.
M________________
__ Will attend
__ Will not attend
Would it have been more correct to instead go with this format?
___ Accept(s) with Pleasure
___Decline(s) with Regret
Number Attending ___
My concerns is that with the second option people will just write in x number of people attending regardless of the number invited. Or they won't write in the names of who's actually coming. Will the option we went with help to alleviate that somewhat or is it just going to happen no matter what we do?
We won't see our proofs until later this week so I'm hoping to be prepared ahead of time with any potential changes. Thank you!
