Cards and Pockets

Hi ladies-
I haven't looked into the cost of creating my own pocket invitations yet, but for those who have used Cards and Pockets, would you say that the $.80/pocket is worth it? Could they be made much cheaper at some place like the Paper Depot?
Thanks!

We made our pocketfolds at anchor paper and I think they were between .40 and .45 cents apiece. To me, this was worth it, we probably spent under an hour using the die cut that they have onsite. So with my experience I would recommend DIY.

ETA: This was for 140 pocketfolds

I went the Cards & Pocket route & I think the quality was great!  You will for sure save money if you DIY, though!

I think it all depends on the work you're willing to put into it & the amount of time you have to do it.  I probably had time to do it DIY, but wanted to forgo the hassle & just bought them pre-made.  I did make all of our inserts though.

Although I've heard from some people, it's not that bad making them yourself & others all the total opposite.  For the ladies that made their own, it sounds like a good employee helping you at Achor Paper or Paper Depot is key, to making your experience pleasant.

Ditto Andi.  I bought all the paper for my invites through Cards and Pockets.  I bought pocketfolds, mats, and cardstock for 90 invites.  Plus I bought a bunch of extra paper for table numbers and programs and paid $215 for everything including shipping.  To me it was worth it.  I didn't like how the glue looked when I tried to make my own pocketfolds.  I did DIY the rest of the invitations.

I did mine at Anchor Paper by hand and the paper I bought was a shiny/more expensive paper but I think they were still around $0.60/each maybe... I would have to look. I did them all by hand through the die. I paid about $10 to have them cut into the strips to put through the die though. Took about an hour for 76 of them. Then another hour or so to glue them all. Then another hour to re-glue with a better glue that would work on the shiny paper....
