Our wedding will be held this July at our church. Our colors are yellow and white, we've got it all planned.
Well, mostly planned.
In thinking of this mostly-planned event tonight, I had a horrifying thought about our guestbook. We decided months ago that we didn't want a traditional guestbook, so we racked our brains on what we might like. I stumbled upon a canvas painting on pinterest in which the guests signed the middle of a heart. I loved the idea of a piece of art to be displayed in our home, but I didn't like that particular one. Eventually we decided to have a picture of us as our guestbook. During our engagement session we took a picture in which we are holding a huge white blanket between us as the space to write on and the picture is beautiful.
Our idea is to have the picture printed onto the canvas. I love it. However, I was struck by the idea that it may be hard to write on or may tear in the process of writing on it. Has anyone else used canvas before, besides the thumbprint idea? Ideally the canvas would be strong enough that with a marker or something similar it wouldn't tear, but I'm wondering if anyone else has an experience with it.
Thanks in advance!
