So EXCITED.... sorry for all the move talk.

We just put down a deposit on a rental.  YIKES.   I've never rented something sight unseen before.

Now before everything things we are completely crazy, the GM (female)  and DH's boss (male) checked out the place and said we would be stupid to pass this us.  Both assured me they would rent the place themselves.    I figure they choose my husband to work for them, they must have good taste right?

It's has everything we wanted plus it's below our top range cost wise.

Now the made rush to change our stuff from going to storage to coming to us on or just after March 1st.

Congratulations on your temporary home, lynda. I hope the rest of your move goes well.

  • We're getting ready to move as well and I think we'll be renting as we aren't planning on selling the two homes we already own. I may have to do it sight unseen as well (DH is being relocated, but I am not- not sure if I'm going with) so I feel your anxiety over it! I'm sure it will be a good fit, though!

  • The landlord seems really nice.  There were 3 others wanting the place, but she took us after meeting the GM and F&B director.   I guess having your boss and boss's boss looking for places for you makes a good impression.

Jells - where is your DH getting relocated to?

  • Exciting development!
  • Ugh, now there is a issue with the movers.  Now they say we have to pack 2/21 and load 2/24.  That does not work at all for us since DH has to be at work on 2/24 and it takes 2 days to get there.

Of course it's off hours so we have to deal with it tomorrow.    I don't know why they can't stick with the 2/19 pack - 2/20 load and then put it in storage for a few days?
