DH was 24 and I was 22 when we first met. We got engaged about 6 months later- he was then 25 and I was 23. We were engaged for about 2 years. He was 27 on our wedding day and I had turned 25 about 5 days beforehand.

I will be 26 (just turned 25 last week) and FI will be 28. We got engaged last February after about a year of dating, but we had been really good friends since 2003 prior to dating. We will have been engaged for about 2 and 1/2 years by the time we get married (June 20, 2015).

I will be 33, FI will be 35. We got engaged just shy (5 days) of a year. We will be married 9 days before our 2 year anniversary. I would have loved to have it closer to our anniversary, but one of my BMs will be in her last semester of grad school, and fall break fell on the weekend before that, so I decided it was close enough.

I find it funny that so many of us are centering it around 5 years, one way or another. @cmfarr and I both didn't want to wait 5 years (which, for me, was an arbitrary number, but one that I felt was too long for my taste); @LizM61409 considered their 5 year anniversary, and @Schatzi13 wanted to wait 5 years.

Haha. I always thought we would be together around 7 years when we got married (which would have put us at right out of college). Tomorrow makes 11 years and it will be 12 by the time we get married!
