When to give gifts?

I have gotten my mil and my mom a personalized bracelet with messages from me and my fh and also a tie bar with messages or my father and fil. When should we give them their gifts? Ive read everywhere, you give the gifts at the rehearsal dinner? But I'd like to give the mothers, BM and MOH their gifts at my shower next weekend. Would it be improper to give them then? I thought I'd pull the mothers aside separately and give them their gifts. Obviously not in front of all the shower guests. Does it really matter when you give the gifts?

    I think it would be inappropriate to give gifts to your bridal party during your shower because it kind of excludes the other guests.  The rehearsal dinner or the morning of the wedding is when people usually give the parent and wedding party gifts, I think.

    Thank you. I was on the fence about the shower. I think I'll go with the rehearsal dinner for the BM's and we were going to take our parents to dinner, most likely give the gifts then or the day of.

    My sister gave her bridesmaids our gifts after the shower when it was just us and my Mom. I think it's fine if no one else is around.

    If you are having a rehearsal dinner, that would be a good time to do it; otherwise, I'd do it whenever it can be done discreetly (no one else is present).

    Rehearsal dinner is probably the best time. I honestly don't recommend the day of the wedding; things might be getting super hectic. There's also nothing wrong with giving the gifts even father in advance, although I agree that your shower isn't the right place/time.

    I was in two weddings where it was the day of and another wedding where it was at the rehearsal dinner. Either way I thought it was fine.
