Thought I would share how everything is coming along so far...
My fabric pomanders are almost done. I'm making them in five different neutral colors (white, ivory, peach, champagne, and taupe) and 3 different sizes. I'm going to hang them from the chairs along the aisle in clusters of 3, like this:
and this:
And most of you know this already, but I had a final dress fitting yesterday, and my dress is just about finished:
Our cake topper came in, and I LOVE IT. It's a wire sculpture of a tandem bicycle with both of our names on the wheel:
Finally, and this might be my favorite thing so far, I finished my table numbers! Since I am stealing Ray's idea to use books as our centerpieces, I decided to keep the theme for the table numbers as well. Each one is a chapter title page from a different book. I like how they all look different... but they're still clearly related:

I couldn't bear to tear a page from a Potter book. Ch. 1 is from a book in A Series of Unfortunate Events -- another favorite of mine.
Number 6 is from my book "The Science of Harry Potter" though. I had to have Harry in there somewhere.

I got the frames from Tiger. She used them at her wedding and sold them to me! I got quite a deal.

Thanks! I don't think I want to dye them. My best bet is to avoid as much crafting as possible.

But then my own laziness inspired me to find something that didn't involve making any stencils. I actually like mine way better.
Also, I'm proud because the table numbers are pretty much the first idea I've had that was 100% original. Everything else was at least partially stolen from someone else. Ha.

Question - will my guests be smart enough to figure out that "Chapter 1" = "Table 1" ?? I'm unsure, but I don't plan on making it any clearer. It might be fun to watch the confusion.

I think they'll be smart enough. And you're right, if not it'll be hilarious to watch!! Can you find a way to video tape it so we can all watch too?
I also want to do something a little different for our table "numbers" . . . I want to use song lyrics instead. So on the escort card there would be a song lyric, then a lyric on the table. Would guests be smart enough to figure that out or should I add a number? I've seen it done both ways but kind of prefer no number. Hmmm . . . I also would enjoy a good show though so not sure it even matters!!

I'm sure they'll figure it out. My tables have names of countries or states that Danish Man and i have been to. Lookes something like this....
