Re: Show me your meal plan

  • I haven't done ours yet... so I will be watching this.

    Last week though:

    Sunday: turkey chili (WW)
Monday: Baked Salsa Tilapia with a WW quinoa salad (super yummy, btw)
    Tuesday: chicken Ceasar salad
    Wednesday: GF mac & cheese
Thursday: roasted sausage, peppers, and potatoes

Links the recipes are in my blog.

Tonight:  Fancy-Shmancy anniversary lunch of prime Lamb Sirloin and portabella risotto.  YUM. (unless I change my mind again)

    Tuesday: Spaghetti and turkey meatballs

    Wednesday: Pheasant bake

    Thursday: Sirloin and broccoli

    Friday: grilled Chicken and veggies

Saturday: Winging it since my niece will be over. Gingerbread house!
  • Monday - Cottage Pie (made from scratch but frozen in freezer)
Tuesday - Pork or Steak with Mushroom Risotto and Asparagus
Wednesday - French Onion Soup (made from frozen store bought)
Thursday - Chili (defrosted from freezer but made from scratch)
Friday - Out for X-mas Dinner with my BFF
Saturday - Chicken Parmesan with Spaghetti Squash with Tomato Alfredo Sauce and Goats Cheese (I am making this for a X-mas dinner with DH's friends)
Sunday - Out for X-mas Dinner with ILs and family friends

That's it...:) Our meal plan is mostly based around our gym schedules - I only cook a meal from scratch when I am not at the gym in the evening (Tuesday I am going at 6am)...otherwise I get home too late so I just pop something frozen into the oven/microwave.
  • Yesterday I heated up some skinny turkey meatballs and marinara that I'd frozen from a while ago and we had spaghetti.

Tonight I'm making us some chicken and prosciutto penne pasta with asiago cream sauce that should last us two or three days.

And then later this week, pulled pork with sweet potato fries.

    Tuesday - Chicken Quesildillas

Wednesday - Hamburger helper or DIY depending on when I get home from physio

    Weds: Teriyaki Stir fry
    Thurs: Carribean jerk Chicken/mashed potatoes
    Fri:  Hamburgers/Fries

  • Ok, I think I got mine nailed down.

Tonight:  homemade pizza (beef, mushroom, pineapple for me, beef, mushroom, green pepper, onion for K)
Tomorrow will probably be whatever H wants to bring home or whatever we get out of the freezer
Wednesday will be a balsamic tortelini recipe that I pinned, with chicken and probably mushrooms added to it
Thursday/Friday: hamburgers and greek pasta salad one day, asian beef and noodle bowls with peanut sauce the other.
Saturday we're going on a "date" up to the cities to shoot some guns and eat...something.
    Sunday will be whatever.

  • I've been really lazy on meal planning lately. I used to love cooking and planning, but it just hasn't been in me. H has been making a lot of seafood lately so I just eat Spaghettios, or a cucumber with ranch dressing.

Last night, we had leftovers from Famous Amos. The rest of the week, not sure. spaghetti and meatballs for sure, and leftovers from that. I think I have everything I need for tuna ranch casserole, with leftovers. Other than that, no clue, although I do have a new pasta recipe I want to try. I need to go grocery shopping.
  • We desperately need to go grocery shopping, so we're going to be eating a lot of chicken until payday (that's all we've got since we bought it in bulk at Costco).

    Tonight: Tuna melts.

Tomorrow: Zucchini and cheddar stuffed chicken w/mixed veggies and rice.

Wednesday: Some sort of marinated chicken (we've got a lot of lemons) with asparagus and roasted potatoes.

Thursday: My work Christmas party. Not sure what they're serving, but most likely salmon.

Friday: Probably dinner out, since I'm hoping they'll finally be fumigating our house that day.

That's really sweet of you. My mom taught me how to make a lot of the recipes she used to cook for us growing up (pork chops, spaghetti, tacos, fried chicken) but they never taste the same when I make them, even though I stick to her recipe. Whenever I visit home, I hardly ever eat out because I force her to cook for me haha.

  • ha! You people are so domestic. I just eat what Mike cooks or orders when I finally get out of work for the day. Since he gets out at 2:00 and I get out at 7 or 8, he takes care of all this. Sooo, I asked him and he says:

Tomorrow - Roasting Chicken with stuffing, cranberry, horseradish mashed potatoes and salad

Wednesday - Hamburger Helper beef stroganoff

Thurs - I am working until late in the evening so he says he will just make himself pancakes and eggs.

Friday - out to dinner before my friend's ugly sweater party! We will probably go to an italian joint I love in Stamford, Cappricios.
