Shoe lovers... help!

I'm trying to find my shoes, and I just can't find even a contender. My FI is 6'1, and I'm 5'6" so I need a little height. I haven't wore heels in years (and even those were maybe like 3 inches) so I don't want to go over 3 inches and have something to hold it on my ankle so I don't slip out of it lol. But I gotta be comfortable enough to move and dance and don't think a spike is gonna work. I would bust my face. This is so hard.... any shoe lovers want to send me shoes you love that fit this?

color? do you like details? There are so many options out there! My wedding shoes were Nina Electra's but they have a lot of different styles/designs as well. If you are not used to wearing heels, get a "good" pair as the cheap shoes can sometimes hurt your feet (not all but IMO any cheap shoe I bought did not last long on my feet). But good shoes on sale are always a plus

My shoes were around $60 (on sale) I think. I bought them online but was able to try them on at a store to make sure the size fit and to feel for comfort, etc. I had flip flops for later in the night for dancing. I could have kept my heels on, I just love flip flops too.

your best bet is to go into a department store and try a few pairs to get an idea of what style you want. Try some on and go from there.

I would suggest in addition to going to a dept. store and trying shoes on, also check out online shops like Zappos. You can search by color and heel height, materials, shoe type, etc.

I actually am looking for shoes and trying to find a pair that are comfy and I can wear all night. I browse reddit quite a bit and r/weddingplanning and someone suggested dance shoes! Makes sense since dancers have to wear them while dancing! http://www.danceshoesonline.com/home.php

I hate heels. I was set on getting flats, even though I'm 5'1. I really don't care about being short in pictures because everyone knows I'm short. I couldn't find any wedges that were cute AND wedding apropos. Plus I have wide feet. But then some ladies on the plus size board informed me of shoesofprey.com and I discovered I could design my own shoes, make them the width I needed and voila! The exact shoes I wanted, the design I wanted, and the width I needed!

I lurve them so much!

They are made by Rockport, using Adidas technology. No they don't look a thing like sneakers. They have super comfy cushioning and are easy to walk in.

Honestly, if you haven't worn heels in years, I would NOT recommend buying a 3 inch heel. 3 inches doesn't seem like much, but it really is, especially if you aren't used to walking in them for hours.

In your case, I'd maybe go with a 2 inch wedge.

I have these and I swear to God they have so much cushion and padding it's like clouds, it's seriously amazing. Unfortunately I can't find these available online anymore, maybe you could find them on Amazon or Ebay but if you can't find the exact ones, definitely find a different pair by Naturalizers. They are the best, so comfy!!!!! My 57 year old mother actually owns the same ones as me lol.
